I treasure the moments when I force myself to slow down and take a few photos before the frantic-manic-panic of delivery.
Even if the light is lacking or the flowers are not positioned just right, for a brief moment, I can say with absolute certainty that this is my cake. My artwork. My talent. My time spent. My sleepless nights. My stress. My pain. My validation… that I have created something pretty, or maybe even something beautiful.
