Yesterday which was the 15th of May 2026 I was at the Shehu Musa Yar'adua Centre for a seminar organized by Jazer Foundation.
The theme of this programme is "Raising high capacity women in today's Nigeria". We had different keynote speakers come talk to us on various things. I will talk about the ones that stood out for me. Starting from Rt. Hon. Tife Adenuga she made me understand that as a woman you can not just live life on what happens next, you have to plan your life from as far as your eyes can see, she also spoke about excellence in whatever you do, in her words" as a women let what you do stand out, in your skill let your work be excellent". She also spoke about women involvement in politics and the growth of Nigeria, she said the reason why it looks like Nigeria as a giant is asleep is because more than half of the citizens who make up Nigerian are still asleep, the giant in every woman is still asleep and until that giant wakes Nigeria will not wake. She also made mention of being involved in politics as a woman, she said as women our involvement in politics matters and until we start getting involved there will be no bill passed in our favour.
Another amazing keynote speaker was @cheffuntiesplace she spoke a lot but the things that stood out to me was when she said "Fear comes from wanting excellent and perfection" which is true, I think a lot of times I am scared because I feel like it is not perfect enough, everybody's own is better and this alone make me lose opportunities. She also mentioned 5 lessons we need as entrepreneurs, which is:
- God factor.
- Keep people who speak life to you around you.
- Forgive people easily.
- Excellence.
- Community is very important Thanks a lot Ma Tife and Ma Futtie for this. Also, Thank you Jazer Foundation for the opportunity to be part of this seminar, thank you because through this alot of life has been impacted and through this great women will emerge, Thank you to the two lovely co founders of Jazer Foundation for this initiative and for working today to build something beneficial to the world, Thank you once more@jazerfoundation
