At restaurants I’d ask for a small plate of sliced lemons to eat! 😂 We love lemons over here. I’m laughing as I think about the phrase “when life gives you lemons...” Lemons are sour, but they aren’t a good or bad thing. Though somehow in this phrase it implies that they’re bad...something to transform. It reminds me of how our perspective is really everything. It’s a shift from seeing things as “bad” to seeing all things as an opportunity for more. 📸: @Societygls Lemon Poppyseed Muffins by @_PlantFriends Peace and Love 🌱🧡 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #blackvegan #lemonpoppyseeds #lemons #blackwomen #melan #thriftfinds #newperspective #thrifty #more #abundance #morelife #4chairstyles #4chairchicks

Rooted Remedy isn’t just another oil, it’s a ritual for your scalp!! & you know I love a ritual ✨🙂. Formulated with ingredients that actually do something: Rosemary oil helps stimulate growth by boosting scalp circulation (yes, studies compare it to minoxidil 👀), while peppermint oil brings that cooling tingle that signals blood flow and follicle activation. Tea tree keeps things clean and balanced, clearing buildup so your scalp can breathe again. Then come the nourishers (castor, almond, and grapeseed oils) rich in fatty acids + vitamin E to strengthen, hydrate, and add that natural glow without weighing your hair down. And fenugreek? A quiet powerhouse known for supporting density and reducing shedding over time. What you’ll notice:Less hair left behind on wash daysStronger, softer, shinier strandsNew growth where you’ve been waiting for itFuller, more alive texture overall It starts with a tingle… and turns into transformation. Consistent care = real results 💁🏽‍♀️ I grabbed my bottle from @dr.peacelily 🧡 #herbaljourney #sharetheknowledge #4chair #hairgrowth #naturalhaircare

“Usually when we hear or read something new, we just compare it to our own ideas. If it is the same, we accept it and say that it is correct. If it is not, we say it is incorrect. In either case, we learn nothing new.” - The Heart of the Buddha’s Teachings by Thich Nhat Hanh. Neptune in Aries feels like moving from dreaming underwater to standing on land with fire in your belly. Courage, clarity, and intention replacing hesitation and overthinking. A reminder that visions aren’t just meant to be imagined, they’re meant to be lived. What are you ready to believe in enough to act on? #jacsjournal #reclaimingsoftness #sacredcreativity #thingstojournalabout #justagirl

No music so I can forever hear these voices, these giggles, these sounds. Long video because I wanted to see it all 🙂. The year of the snake was dark and beautiful. It was transformative. It truly was a year of growth that burst me from my seams. Outgrowing the previous limitations I placed on myself, or found myself in. For shedding, for letting go. A year that I welcomed newness beyond my expectations and first times. —— Felt called to pull a card! First pull of the calendar New Year. Here’s the message: Hermit is a card of introspection self reflection. You don’t necessarily need to physically be alone, but the solutions/answers you are looking for will come from within. This can also represent how focused you are and how little distractions you have right now. There is a need to focus on personal goals and to take steps towards obtaining them. King of cups is a card of emotional stability, in tune with your feelings, effortlessly. Not afraid to express love or to receive love. Maintains healthy boundaries with oneself and others. There’s a smile, happy from within and content. Is that you or are those qualities you want to intentionally welcome in to your life? You’ve done and given so much to others. It’s time to take a moment to step back to take care of yourself and to be cared for. Remember healthy boundaries. Say no. Take a step back to observe. Observe within, but also observe who is around you and what is around you. Take that temporary pause to breathe and remember that the pause is in fact temporary. Decisions of the highest good are made when you have clarity. Clarity comes from being open to information from both intellect and your intuition. Gather that information, approach things from a neutral and a non-judgment way. When it’s time to start again you’ll know. When it’s time to decide, have faith you’ll make the right decision. #2025 #visualdiary #yearofthesnake #blackgirlmagic #messagefromspirit

“There is only one way to learn. It’s through action. Everything you need to know you have learned through your journey” It is important to have practical experience over theoretical knowledge. True wisdoms comes from living life and taking action, not just from books and instructions. — Stay with me now lol I pulled a card. The Moon - Once you acknowledge the scary stuff lurking within you, your guilt and fear can release their hold. Only then can you experience profound freedom. The moon offers just enough light to guide you through the shadows, while you have faith that the night will fade and the sun (the light) will come again. Keep going - make that decision once you’re out of the fog and can see things more clearly. Reflect then act. Act then reflect. —- Okay! You feel me? That’s where we’re at now. Action oriented. Once we see, we can decide. Once we decide the universe shifts and moves things around us to align us with that decision. Then we can see what’s working, see what’s not. Then and only then can we circle back to all of this reflection. Sometimes we can get caught up in the thought, caught up in the planning. There are some things you’ll never know until you take action. There are some things that we may learn, but will never truly understand until we actually do it, feel it, live it. Enough thinking, it’s time for action. *Note: If you don’t think at all, lmaoo you know for a fact I’m not telling YOU to stop thinking. You keep that up lol. This is for the people stuck in their head.

Let’s be forreal….I learned how to style hair on a Bratz doll head. I’m talking twisties, twists, braids, added hair, you name it. It’s so interesting how our past influences our present. Would I have felt so comfortable deciding to style my own hair in college instead of catching the bus to the hair appointment my mom scheduled for me? I mean, at the time I felt extremely uncomfortable. I thought I had no idea what I was doing. Maybe I should’ve given myself more credit. These are skills that I’ve been practicing for years. Without realizing it, I’m presently making decisions, no matter how unfamiliar they may feel, because deep down I know I can do it. I’d like to think that at least. I’m way more prepared than I think, so it’s even more reason to go for it. Okay….if you made it this far we’ve clearly transitioned from talking about doing hair to talking about doing life lol.

“Just because you were told how certain things were done a certain way, does not mean there are no other ways to do it.” - The Hierophant - Mystic Mondays Tarot Deck What are the rules and limitations that I’ve placed on myself? Based on rules that others have placed on themselves, based on what I’ve witnessed? I come back to these questions every now and again. I come back to the notion that this is my life and I get to determine how it goes. I get to determine what’s important to me, my perspective, what I want to do with my time, who I decide to spend my time with, where I decide to spend my money, how I want to express myself…etc. It’s a powerful reminder that yes, there are things beyond my control that impact me, but there are so many things within myself and in my own life that I can control that impact me too. I can acknowledge both, but I know which one I want to focus on. “Release yourself from mental slavery. No one but ourselves can free our mind” -Bob Marley Oh btw if you made it this far, these pics are from my trip to Brooklyn with the girls! I’m grateful for every moment I get to spend with the people that I love 🙂‍↕️.
