@southernenduro last weekend mashup style, many big efforts against the clock was great fun to get the season started.
@riverdartenduro this weekend, toughest conditions I have raced in a while but enjoyed the battle in the mud keeping the wheels rolling. What a event, well done too good mate @gregberry_ & team, marshals & medics for a awesome event & bonkers venue for Mtbing 👏👏
We had to laugh @riverdartenduro stage 4 last stage of the day the mud dried that much I had to POP THE DROPPER and off the bike sprint mid stage…heart rate found new limits I tell ya🤪
Great to to see all ages enjoying some racing, some young riders showing some serious determination to make it round the stages👏👏

British round 3, Soooo good to be back racing after a late start to the year.

Good old British mudder, 6th in seeding, I had a good race run going until my pedal hooked up on a tree for a quick OTB😤…pushed on to make back some time and the front end tucked and another OTB 😳 it’s a new record twice in one run but glad to get stuck and be on the clock again 😇
In the past I would have driven back home pretty annoyed …taking race weekends for granted racing all year long, even with no result this weekend it was great to be back on track, riding well and catching up with the second family.👊

Hell Yeah things came together in the end🤪…10mins from home the van breaking down didn’t start the weekend well.
(Late arrival but we made it 🙏)
Found myself in expert category this year due to less racing last year with the new arrival🐣…its been a long time in the Elite class it’s been unreal, its tough going always had me feeling on the back foot with preparations for the seasons from totally the wrong end of the country but have enjoyed the challenge and wanted to be tested racing the very best and had some cracking memory’s / results I now know I can look back and be happy with.
It takes all the commitment & resources you can throw at it…long term this takes its toll always thinking how to be better…even now it’s a strange time to get sucked back in or just go with the flow racing is the addiction of the strongest kind✊…it’s the bit I like most seeing what you are capable of over the years & of course the people involved.
This weekend: Fun weekend sharpening up the reactions & coming away with a clean run & 2nd in Expert…it’s like this journey had gone full circle this weekend.
Awesome to see a good group of south west riders at these events and @ruben.byrne01 & @max.grayy on the junior podium. 👌😎 @jaywilliamsonmtb
Still way more racing bikes coming🤪…just a little insight to a few small changes picking the the most enjoyable races rather trying to commitment to the full downhill series keeping the happy life balance.

Had to grab the bike after a morning coaching knowing we had dry trails🙏the high winds had done us a favour drying out the tracks…it’s only be 6months of slop…nice to have some rolling speed onboard. 😎
