We’re thrilled to announce that Molly has been acquired by @shopify to form the new in-house Product Design Studio.
We’ll focus on one question: What does the future of commerce look like if we build it from the ground up with AI?
We’re excited to be joined by the Product Design Studio’s founding team: Yael Bienenstock, McLane Teitel, Johnny Slack, Melike Turgut, and Jesper Vos – close collaborators who share our intensity and ambition.

Last week the Product Design Studio shipped Artifact. A home for internal work. We obsessed over the details with branded micro animations and thoughtful motion. Because details are the product.
The sheet system we pulled off on mobile leverages consumption patterns that we as users are familiar with.
When opening image galleries, thought pieces, or any disclosed content, we trigger the same patterns creating an easy to understand rhythm of navigation.
Interfaces should compress complexity until the moment the user asks for more. Each sheet becomes a controlled layer of context, a small reveal, a deliberate step in progressive disclosure. It lets the work breathe, keeps cognitive load low, and turns the entire site into a sequence of focused, intention driven moments.
The new COLLINS website was both one of the first and last projects we worked on at Molly.
This work is the outcome of an extensive collaboration between us and the COLLINS team.
