oh yeah, turned 35 today. 🎈 safe to say, my life looks nothing like i imagined it would at this age. safe to say, neither does the world. it’s really annoying how detrimentally bad society decided to get right as i was finally getting a grasp on it. but in true contrarian fashion, the worse it feels out there, the more disgustingly positive i want to be enveloped in. joy truly feels like the only option for survival. which is wild for someone who for so long wasn’t even sure she even fully wanted that as an option. but the delulu brain has been putting in overtime lately, & no complaints so far. except, maybe, that time moves too fast. so no photoshoot this year. filling in is a moment this last year where i flew to the uk with no one knowing + got lost in the mountains of dublin. no signal. no email. no credit score in sight. the energy im trying to manifest for as many days moving fwd. to getting older & somehow feeling (+ looking, tbh) younger. letting my joy be so loud it outlives whatever tries to harm it. letting my inner child feel so free that i become the safest place she knows. here’s to a new year & gaslighting myself into a beautiful life. it’s working.

was an honor to flex the profile muscle again — and for one of the coolest & most exciting emerging bands ive come across in a while. although we spoke a bit ago, the time couldn’t be more right to release a piece on a band so eclectic in sound & unwavering in ethics. i could fangirl for a while about them - but I’ll let the piece do the talking. my latest for @remezcla nuevo noise: meet @gritoexclamacion , mexico city’s emerging rebel yell. “Emerging from the heart of Mexico City’s sprawling urban pulse, a new wave of alternative underground is clawing its way to the surface. a v special post for a v special place 📸💛✨ this weekend @lasfotosproject is celebrating turning 15! a dream org, that offers a safe + resourceful space for young femmes to learn the craft behind the camera, i could have only wished for this to have existed growing up. but so thankful its now a reality for so many young teens in my city. to say im beyond humbled & appreciative to have received a special invite to celebrate in this milestone with them is an understatement - esp when i think about where my photography journey all started. while tix to their Quince event are now sold out - check out the video for a little bit of inspiration on why you should very much still consider making a donation towards a unique and beloved safe space that aims to develop the next generation of women & gender expansive youth visionaries behind the lens - many which i can only hope will join me in the photo pit very soon. link in bio for more info. 🫶🏽
