Bucket list item ✅ First SBD day since injury. Still not even close to recovery, but we survived, even after a night of getting wasted lmao. First time squatting over 400 since March. Bench did not go as planned, but it’s okay. Also heaviest deadlift since injury.

Another HUGE shoutout to @aycejello@menacestrengthsystems ! This prep went as well as it could IMO. Ankle injury, hip tightness, shoulder injury… I don’t know how I got through the 8 week prep. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to get on the platform, and was stressed tf out. But we persevered, and we were able to put it all on the platform. Hit a squat pr, played it safe with bench, so we could go for 500 on DL. Overall, I’m proud of myself. I considered giving up powerlifting about a dozen times these past couple of months. I don’t know what my future in powerlifting will entail, but I’m glad the work I’ve put in paid off, and to have met a lot of friends along the way.
