In an online world where we are constantly surrounded by people, it’s never been easier to feel alone.
I’ve been feeling this a lot lately, and I know it goes without saying that many of you are feeling that way too.
To all my POC friends, your voices matter. You are not invisible, you are not unimportant, you are not a statistic. Your voices matter. You exist, and that is simply enough.
To everyone who has been feeling left behind or ignored, I see you. Even if the world does not, I do.
Do something today that makes you smile: read a good book, watch an episode of Glee (or your favorite tv show), take a walk, hug a dog.
I’m posting this as a reminder to you, and to myself, that social media is not real life. Take a deep breath—
