Creative coding particle experiment with #gemini. Exploring how simple rules turn into complex motion and visual behavior.

For my first thesis project, I designed an interactive website. As I continue working with #vibecoding, I find that the more you practice it, the more refined it becomes. Because the possibilities are virtually limitless, from templates and interactions to simulators, what truly matters is the kind of experience the designer chooses to create.

The world’s best egg timer 🥚 lify.app/ Part of the best educator Masato’s @masato_nakada Winter Practicum project at @calartsgd . Built with vibe coding, this piece translates my attitude toward boiled eggs into language and interaction. From 1 to 10 minutes, watch the yolk shift in color and enjoy zoning out with your timer. Try it via the link. Happy egg!

Weekly Generative AI series 04: retro Hong Kong film mood Retro Hong Kong cinema mood study. Neon haze, soft grain, saturated shadows and that slow, dreamy tension. I’ll refine the details later (Nanobanana etc.), but for now I just wanted to capture my favorite atmosphere first.

Yesterday + Today + Tomorrow CalArts Graphic Design exhibition I had the honor of leading the visual identity and graphic design for this exhibition, from concept to installation. It was my first time overseeing an entire exhibition design system in a physical space, so being trusted with this role genuinely meant a lot to me. The identity was built around the logotype and the “+” symbol, which is both the title and the main motif of the show. I explored different ways to visualize the plus sign, expanding it into a flexible system across print, digital, motion, and spatial design. Deliverables included posters, a motion graphic video, social media carousels (promo + schedule updates), wall vinyl graphics + signage designed for visitor flow, a brochure that flips into a poster, and bookmark/sticker assets used in each book exhibited. So grateful for the team and the opportunity to bring this exhibition to life. #gemini 3 DOES NOT play. Been testing a particle simulator prompt from AdxWorklab and it feels like a real shift. The model is starting to mimic TouchDesigner’s behavior, which means we’re getting closer to shaping media art with a single prompt. Wild times ahead.

Today, let’s talk about language. LLMs didn’t just give us smarter tools. But here’s the trick: just because you say something doesn’t mean AI gets it. Same model, same blueprint, totally different results. It’s not luck. It’s how you speak. As designers, our words are part of the design now. Logic and precision aren’t just for coders anymore, they’re for us, too.

Weekly Generative AI Series 02: Texture Experiments For high-sensitivity images that need no post-production, focus on the camera lens details and the right grain settings. Personalized V6 seems to handle this beautifully.
