Show’s this week let’s go lads ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ SUM OF OUR PARTS Friday 17 April (7:30 pm) Saturday 18 April (2:30 pm and 7:30 pm) BOLD Elephant @boldelephant_ 🎟️ link in our bio The funding’s run out, the community centre walls are closing in, and the boiler’s on the blink again. Award-winning theatre company Sweet Beef present Sum of Our Parts (WIP), an immersive new show built from real testimonies about the spaces that hold communities together. Blending naturalism, movement and audience interaction in Sweet Beef’s signature style, audiences are led on a darkly comic promenade journey through increasingly restricted spaces. Sum of Our Parts is a love letter - to the community choirs, the broken heaters, the endless cups of tea, and the people holding it all together by a thread.

Announcing our next project: 3 venues across the country. A totally new show. Arts Council England funded baby! For our next show, we’re partnering with three amazing arts venues: IOU Creation Centre in Halifax, Slung Low in Leeds and Bold Elephant in London. We’ll be spending the next month in residency creating SUM OF OUR PARTS with their support. SUM OF OUR PARTS will be an immersive exploration of the closure of community spaces across the UK - village halls, libraries, youth centres - buckling under the strain of defunding. It’s a darkly comic love letter to these shrinking spaces, and the people holding them together by a thread. ‘In a system that’s totally against all of our wellbeing, when you’re trying to carve out a place where people can be together, [it’s] so against the odds that for those places to exist the walls of them are made of really stressed people screaming’ - Community Arts Centre Worker  Cast and creatives to be announced.

The rumours are true …… PLEWDS is coming to @sohotheatre this February 💥💥💥 BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND FOR 2 NIGHTS ONLY A cocky gay clown in therapy. A clueless detective. An X-Factor sob story. Pop culture and queer drama collide against a rainbow vomit backdrop. A surreal, fast-paced and darkly funny exploration of a queer relationship gone bad. Blending clowning, drag and a subversive take on the trauma-parading solo show, Plewds is about the lengths we’ll go to avoid what’s right in front of us, in a story where the villains don’t look like villains. Being queer is the best, right? WINNER Summerhall Mary Dick Award SHORTLISTED Tony Craze Award SHORTLISTED Brighton Fringe Award for Excellence SHORTLISTED Binge Fringe Queer Performer Award performing as part of soho rising festival - a hot bed of emerging talent - tickets available NOW
