A few years ago, my producer Kyle and I each lost our dogs too soon. One to a freak accident, the other to disease.
I believe they find ways to come back to us. Kyle and I were sitting at a café one day, deep in conversation about the dogs we’d lost, when two butterflies appeared out of nowhere and began tapping on the glass beside us. We looked at each other and knew it was a sign. The ones we love never truly leave.
This reel holds a special place in my heart. It was shot by Kyle’s wife, Sophie, alongside their new dog, who happens to be the blood brother of the dog they lost. There’s something quietly beautiful about that.
