In the spirit of #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, I wanted to share a message with the world.
My journey of survival has been a layered and transformative one. From testing my faith, to relearning my body, exercising my mind, regenerating my spirit, impacting society, and ultimately becoming a steward of the world, Iâve experienced many phases of healing. Once I was able to isolate my trauma, I began using it as a force to create change far greater than I ever imagined. I channeled that energy and turned it into my biggest superpower.
My mission on this planet is to remind everyone that they too have the power to transform their trauma into one of their greatest assets. When you learn to recognize those painful moments as just that, moments in time that may have changed you⊠but do not define you, you begin to restructure your mindset and how you navigate through the world.
Stewardship has become the most profound and rewarding part of my healing journey. Aiding in passing laws and sitting on Yale Universityâs board aiding assault survivors has been a gift. Helping others continues to help me. It gives purpose to my life and meaning to my experiences.
I encourage everyone to confront their traumas. Donât let them control you. Identify them, own them, and transform what once felt like darkness into energy to change the world.
Love one another. Love the Earth. Love the universe. You never know what someone is going through.

âThe only thing consistent in life is changeâŠâ
As we continue to explore an unknown future while journeying through life, I canât help but acknowledge the joy, privilege, and awareness that shape the reality we create. Just as we begin to feel comfortable, time does what it always does, and we are left with a choice: remain complacent and stagnant, or evolve with morality and integrity.
Everything around us was once imagined. Someone created it, others followed, and eventually it became real for everyone. So if we take that same mindset and apply it to our everyday lives, imagine what we are truly capable of.
This week, try something new. Evolve your reality and see where it takes you. If you donât like it, you have the power to evolve again⊠and again.
