Anytime I ditch Catie for a day or two to go kayaking, I try to make it up to her by stopping at Oak Barrel for some homemade pie or cake (mostly cheesecake) on my drive home. It’s a solid deal.
Photo 5 is her reaction to seeing those bad boys in person for the first time.

Today I’m 35.
I went skiing with my wife today to celebrate. I’m still getting a big kick out of saying “wife”.
Recently I put my big kid pants on and started developing c41 at home. So your boy is shooting, developing, and scanning color film now.
These shots are from test rolls I did over the last couple weeks at work, home, and on walks with friends.
The first shot is of Little Falls of the Potomac, a rapid I cut my teeth on as a young man. Unfortunately it’s currently full of poop from butts.
But hey (in my best Sinatra voice) that’s life.
Thanks to @potomac_riverkeeper_network for keeping us all informed on that massive bummer.
And cheers to a bunch more years of enjoying stuff.
For our wedding Catie and I left a disposable camera on each table and didn’t really tell anyone what to do with them. Luckily Catie’s 11 year old cousin took an interest and with some tips from the real pro (@andrwsnapd ) she snapped most of these. I’m excited to share so many more photos of that day but I figured this was a fun place to start.
In one month this lady and I will celebrate our love with a legal document and I couldn’t be more excited.
Here are some fun shots I snagged of my buddies celebrating their loves this year.
