I came to Costa Rica with a heavy heart— carrying loss, pain, and a quiet hope for healing. I didn’t know what to expect or what I would find. What I found was something much deeper than I ever expected. During my week in the jungle, I practiced yoga, breath-work and bodywork. Amazing waterfalls crashing down like tears. Hikes that pushed me. Stillness that held me. Nature has a way of holding space when nothing else can. The Yoga practice was wonderful. I’m new to Yoga and I loved every minute of it. I had never practiced breath-work and it was truly AMAZING!!!! Words can’t describe the healing power of breath-work. It was mentally and physically challenging, Pushing me to let go and to let it all out. To the teachers, the owners and all the amazing group of guys that I shared this journey with. You are all kind, strong and real. Thank you so much for your kindness, your support and your love. Each of you helped me heal with your kind words and your love— and for that I send you all the love back and I wish you healing and love. I’m truly grateful to have had the opportunity to experience something so amazing. It filled my heart and my soul with much healing. I now know why people fall in love with Costa Rica. It gave me a place to feel again, to breathe again and to begin again. Thank you to all my family and friends that have always rooted for me and supported me through some tough times. Sometimes the best trips are unplanned and last minute with great friends. My first time here and I fell in love with San Diego. Life can sometimes be tough and painful, but sometimes it can be beautiful, and I am going to keep chasing all of the beautiful experiences, one sunset at a time.
Sadly, I lost my best friend Oreo. He has been by my side through some of the toughest times in my life. He had the sweetest spirit and brought so much joy to my life. Sometimes life is tough and not fair. I am heartbroken, but I am grateful for the time that I had with him. He will be deeply missed.
