Another WorldTour GC ticked off.
I came into the Australian season firing on all cylinders. Last year felt like a missed opportunity, and I was determined to make it right and hit the ground running in Australia.
The preparation over the winter was huge ā my off-season was basically non-existent ā but after such a hard week of racing, it was absolutely worth it to pull off the GC.
We certainly didnāt have everything go our way, but the commitment from all the boys to the bigger goal was incredible. The way they dedicated themselves all week and supported me was something special. I was telling Bre how surreal it felt having the whole team lead me out and launch me on the Corkscrew ā the quality of riders we have is immense so getting a GC opportunity like this truly means a lot.
Iām genuinely so proud to win on Aussie roads, infront of Aussie crowds, and take home the ochre jersey for the second time. Winning never gets easier and itās never guaranteed, which makes moments like this extremely special ā and yes, weāre definitely going to celebrate.
I canāt thank the team enough. I really couldnāt have done it without you all. From the riders to the staff, to the management back in Europe - I raise my glass to you.

So what can I say about this Vuelta
For starters itās my 4th Vuelta even though itās only my second completion. First time standing on the podium at the end of a Grand tour, with both the team as part of the Team Classification, and also the KOM Jersey.
Already that would make my race pretty successful, but to also be apart of 2 amazing break-away wins for my team in the first and last week of the race, and 2 other āclose but no cigar momentsā, which Iām really proud of since I really didnt know how my legs would fair in the 3 weeks with such a compressed build after my accident.
I certainly didnāt have the same legs I had in the 22 addition of the race, but I feel like Iāve learnt to race smarter and make more decisive decisions with the experiences Iāve had and I got the maximum I could get out of my legs at this years race.
Having my wife give birth to my son just 24 hrs before flying to Portugal was extremely challenging, but also motivating for me during the race to make the most out of everyday, whether taking it easy helping teammates or riding for myself.
Now itās time to prep for Worlds, so time to get back into it for the last part of the year!

Posting here because I canāt keep up with all the messages across socials and WhatsApp right now. š¤
Yesterday was honestly really scary, but the main thing is Jay is okay. Considering how bad that crash was, heās been relatively lucky to come away without anything more serious. Unfortunately in this sport you can do everything right, be in the right position, and still end up on the ground.
Watching the footage replay everywhere definitely brought back some hard memories from Basque Country. I know people repost these moments because they care and want updates, but sometimes I think itās easy to forget these are real people with families at home desperately trying to find out if theyāre okay. When your person is on the other side of the world and you havenāt heard anything yet, those moments feel very long.
My heart genuinely goes out to every rider involved because it was really frightening to watch.
I also just want to say how grateful I am to the team for doing everything they could to get information through to me as quickly as possible. With so many riders involved, updates naturally take time, but I really appreciated the effort from everyone behind the scenes.
UAE have already shared the medical update, so please check their socials for that. Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out with kind messages and support, it truly means a lot.
This one hurts, especially after all the work Jay has done to get himself healthy again and back to riding so well. But sometimes sport is cruel like that. Right now the focus is simply on getting him fully recovered again, healthy, happy, and back doing what he loves.
Harrison and I are travelling now to rendezvous with Jay so he can finally get all the cuddles. š¤ We honestly donāt know what the next racing schedule looks like yet, and right now thatās not the priority. First we want to fully understand the extent of his injuries and go from there. We take concussions very seriously, especially having dealt with them before, so we know how important it is to give him the proper time and space to recover fully.

Stage one done and dusted. This one was for the fast boys ā all about staying safe, staying out of trouble, and surviving what was always going to be a messy sprint finish with the pink jersey up for grabs.
We kept our nose clean, and just got caught behind the crash but wasnāt involved, so thatās good. Onto day two!

Giro Italia 2026 coming in fast - Weāve got a really good team line up here, and Iām genuinely excited to see the results we can pull-off together. Bring it on! š¤š¤

With a blink and a suitcase rolling out the door, Jayās off to the Giro again. The time at home always feels short, but itās everything ā the slow mornings, the little routines, just being together as a family before the next stretch apart.
33 weeks pregnant now, and my main job while heās away is simple: keep this baby exactly where itās meant to be for a little while longer⦠no early surprises please š¤
So itās me and this little man, soaking up our days, filling them with play, cuddles, and all the in-between moments that somehow mean the most.
Heās at that age now where he understands more than we realise. The suitcases, the bikes, the team arriving ā he knows it all means Dadās going away, and you can see it in him. It makes the goodbye a little heavier, but also reminds me how lucky we are to have this life, even with the hard parts.
As always weāll be watching, cheering, and so proud from afar! #Getwreckedjay

Back on here for a little life update ā itās been a while.
Since Volta a Catalunya, Iāve been home in Andorra soaking up some quality time with the family, while also putting a big focus on rehab for the wrist. Really happy with how things have been progressing on that front ā itās been a lot of work behind the scenes, but itās starting to pay off.
I also managed to get a solid little stint of altitude in at home before heading off to join the team here in Sierra Nevada for camp. Itās always a good block up here with the boys ā simple routine of training, eating, recovering⦠repeat.
Havenāt shared much lately, not for lack of updates, just been busy juggling training, rehab appointments, and family time. But everythingās moving in the right direction.
With the Giro dāItalia coming up in a few weeks, Iām getting excited to pin a number on again. Trainingās been solid, the bodyās feeling good, and Iām looking forward to getting back into racing.
Not long now š®š¹
Stage 2 in the books for Catalunya daily work on the wrist is really important at this point in the recovery and increased load of the racing. 5 days to go here in Spain before itās back to Andorra for some more work !

First day back in the Peloton after my injury! Still a lot of progression needs to happen with the wrist in regards to pain management but we have come along way in the last 4 weeks since hitting the roads again !
6 more stages of Catalunya to come!!

Family time has come to an end, and itās time for Jay to sign back on.
I think thereās this idea that ārecovery timeā after an injury means slowing down, feet up and plenty of rest⦠but in reality, itās typically the complete opposite. Itās been full days of split training sessions, physio, hours of rehab off the bike, and altitude training, and a whole heap of driving on top of it all. As every rider knows, thereās so much that goes into getting back to racing behind the scenes ā and even then, the body can only do what it can, weāre all just trying to maximise the recovery as much as possible.
Whilst I canāt say this has been the most relaxing chapter, itās still been so nice to have jay at home and make the most of it. We took advantage of Tour of Catalunya being so close to home, and wrapped up our family time with a little stop in Girona before Jay lines up tomorrow with the team.
Back to it āØ
