A rare and unforgettable wildlife moment at MacRitchie Reservoir near the famous Treetop Walk.🦎 For the first time in my life, I was lucky enough to spot the incredible Flying Dragon lizard (Draco) with my own eyes deep inside the rainforest. At first, it was almost impossible to notice because of its perfect camouflage that blends beautifully with the tree bark. This fascinating agamid lizard is famous for its ability to glide between trees using special wing-like skin flaps called patagia. Instead of flying like birds, it jumps from high branches and glides gracefully through the forest air to another tree. Some species can glide up to 60 meters. These tiny forest dragons are commonly found in Southeast Asian tropical forests and mostly feed on ants and small insects. The males also have colorful throat flaps called dewlaps which they use to attract mates and defend their territory. Nature truly creates some amazing creatures. Seeing this beautiful reptile in the wild at MacRitchie made the whole forest hike even more special and unforgettable. Lost in the wild at Chestnut Nature Park. One of the most peaceful and underrated nature spots in Singapore. Surrounded by lush greenery, quiet trails, and fresh air — perfect escape from the busy city life. Spent hours exploring the hiking trails, enjoying the calm vibes, and just reconnecting with nature. But the highlight of the day… something I’ve been waiting for a long time. I finally spotted a lesser mouse deer and a colugo with my own eyes. These are two wildlife species I’ve been searching for so long, and today it actually happened. Truly a special and unforgettable moment.
