My Grandmother passed away today. I just wanted to tell the world because wow… my love for her is BIG. She was the brightest, funniest, biggest-hearted person you ever met. She loved to garden and she made the world beautiful. She was also super-humanly strong. She regularly rearranged the living room furniture by herself. She joked about becoming an Irish dancer in her later years. She gave incredible hugs. She was fierce. If you woke her from sleeping she would SCREAM. She had a great scream. If you went to the movies with her, you should expect her to laugh. LOUDLY. She did everything big. She loved me so much. She took care of me as a child. She fostered my love of performing. She would put me on the counter of the local gas station and I would SING for the customers. I loved it. I am the person I am today because of her. She’s a kindred spirit and I feel her presence all around. In my daughter. In my little home garden. In my desire to make others laugh. There’s a lot of love in this world. May you all love someone and be loved like we loved each other.
