Reflections of Resilience captures my muse life and stages of growth. This painting was made after a personal connection with my muse. Her story became very much of my own as we got closer and it inspired me to create this piece. I believe a lot of people in our generation go through these same life experiences and it is hardly noticed or even talked about. This piece seeks to shed more light on her story and every other individual who has been through this phase.
To the strong girl who has share a lot of tears in her life but still stood strong, I say bravo you are indeed strong and courageous. Losing my mom in my final year, it seemed like my world had come to an end but in the mist of the pain I found perseverance and courage until the curtains were drawn. Then a week after graduation my Dad also died and now my I am left with questions that will never be answered. One thing I know is that I am that strong girl and I will keep my head up high. I know I am destined for greatness no matter the pain and challenges life throws my way.
When tradition meets art. A pleasure to have done a live painting of the king of my hometown as he celebrated his 5th anniversary. Growing up not knowing my custom and tradition, it was very exciting to have been there and to have been a part of the ceremony.
