#AboutTonight💙 This evening, we premiered two episodes of Formation, our 4-part docuseries presented at this year’s #LagosInternationalTradeFair. It has been an absolute privilege to direct and produce this deep dive into the legacy of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry — the oldest business institution in Nigeria and indeed West Africa. This project has been over four years in the making, and tonight’s screening felt like a milestone worth celebrating. My heartfelt gratitude goes to everyone who helped bring Formation to life — the president Mr.Gabriel Idahosa FCA and the entire @lcci executive especially my dear cousin @tokimabogunje , whose vision sparked this entire journey and pushed us to find new ways to make the LCCI’s history and archive accessible to wider audiences💕💕💕💕, the DG #DrAlmona and to @officialgeraldeze who composed the theme song ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️@patrickdanteoke who narrated the entire series and anchored today’s event💫💫💫💫, the entire production team including @almstjoey who edited and designed the sound -thank you Joey for the tireless effort and work you put into this project ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️and @michadek_ our remarkable project coordinator …⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Archival Material Consultant: Damola Adebowale Additional Archival Research: Chioma Anaele Drone Footage: Taofeek T. Gawat Thank you for being part of this moment. The story continues. 💙 #Lagos #Docuseries #filmpremiere #jumokesanwo. #formationthedocuseries

Laval Virtual’s #XRWorldwide conference brought together experts, speakers, and thought leaders in the global XR community to have a timely conversation about the ‘practices and uses of AR/VR/MR around the world’ from the community perspective. As a speaker, Judith Okonkwo @jay.oaks (Imisi 3D|AR/VR Africa) shared insights on the possibilities and potential of collaboration through the lens of the XR Bootcamp we made possible for eight girls in Lagos, Nigeria in partnership with IVG World, WIIT Europe, and Meta. She was also a panelist for the ‘Global visions, local realities: building bridges in the diverse world of XR’ discussion session alongside Laetitia Bochud (President, XR4Europe), Norimichi Idehara (Professor, Tama University), Oriane Walkowiak (Cultural & Creative Industries Project Manager, Business France), Andres Burbano (Chairman of the SIGGRAPH 2024 Conference, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), and Isabel De Peuter-Rutten (Director EU, Gatherverse). On this panel, Judith shed light on critical issues highlighted in the African XR report @africa_xr while emphasizing the importance of adequate representation in matters of governance and regulations for the metaverse. #lavalvirtual2024
