What is it like to build a small festival with no experience?
It’s hectic, for sure.
There’s so much to think about, so much admin, and so much work involved in making sure artists and teams feel listened to and communicated with properly.
And don’t even get me started on selling tickets. Promoter life isn’t for the weak 😭
Why do it?
Because we love it.
We agreed that we would all rather try and fail than not try at all.
Proud to be building something we can grow with, for sure.
Contributing to grassroots means getting in the grass
We went down to Kens Farm to figure out which fields work best logistically before submitting licences to the council.
Making sure all the boring risk assessment bits are covered, and no ones shins will get snapped.
