Whilst this primarily looks at disenfranchised people based on race, class and migrant status, these issues do not exist within a vacuum and are intricately connected with the oppression of other disenfranchised groups in Singapore.
The people united will never be defeated.

Anw, full disclosure that the first image is from Canva, and although I haven't linked the articles, they are easily located online, or I can send them through if you're interested!
TLDR, rant on why genAI sucks, and why I refuse to use it (Even if that one lit subject has it included in assignments)
This poem is not meant to be easy.
It is meant to be felt.
White Waters by Jayden (he/him), 21, is a confrontation of colonial violence, memory, and the way trauma lives on in land, bodies, and history.
It asks the questions we are often taught not to ask.
It names what has been erased.
It refuses to let the past be silent.
Read slowly. Sit with it.
And take care of yourself if you need to pause.
