Zoe’s bunny “April” passed away yesterday. Stomach issue, vets were great, did what they could but it was terminal. Got her in April 2021, not a Covid decision, but was our first family pet and joined at a very important time. They’re free-roaming bunnies, only locked up when we’re not around so they don’t get up to mischief. Average life is 8-12 years, but they’re delicate medically, so there’s always a risk something could happen. It is what it is, but still feels too soon. Next challenge is to see how “Romeo” copes without her. We get to bring her home today so he can say his goodbyes.
