it started with a DM from @dannydannydannydannydanny a “hey… want to do something slightly unhinged?” a year of planning later… 580KM. 61:12hrs, no sleep. six humans. two support cars. four legends who crewed. endurance with purpose. from Jakarta to Yogya. from an idea to 126,559,950 IDR raised for Sekolah Kami. and honestly? I’d again say yes. “count me in!” (and I did.) __ #EnduranceWithPurpose #RunForACause #JakartaToYogya #SekolahKami

to quote one of my teammates: “it still feels like a fever dream.” and honestly? same. by the end we were cooked — empty tanks, blurry eyes, everyone digging deeper than they thought they could. but running into Jogja together… that was something super special. we showed up, and teamed up, for kids who deserve access to education, safety and real possibility. watching the cheque from this insane Jakarta → Jogja run being handed over to Sekolah Kami by our Jakarta teammates this weekend? that was the real finish line. to every runner, every support crew legend, every sponsor who trusted the mission and every single person who donated — thank you. you didn’t just back a run. you backed a future. to Dr. Irina — it’s been a privilege to meet you and see firsthand the incredible work you do. when we met in September, I could see the passion and heart behind Sekolah Kami. the impact of what you and your team are building goes far beyond education and opportunity. from Jakarta to Jogja — this is what endurance for purpose looks like. a huge thank you to everyone who made this possible. __ #JAVA580 #EnduranceWithPurpose #SekolahKami

2025 RUNNING WRAPPED thank you, mind & body, for the year it’s been! ✨ __ 2025 asked me to slow down, listen closer, and choose joy more intentionally. four and a half months without running was incredibly hard, especially while navigating a really challenging period. coming back reminded me why I love this so much — and why I need to protect it. train smarter, not harder. not everything was a race. the most meaningful miles came from moving with purpose, curiosity and community. carrying those lessons into 2026 — staying curious, saying yes to the crazy challenges, and protecting what makes me feel most alive (and sane 🤣). this isn’t a season. it’s a way of life. 🏃‍♀️🫶 __ #runningwrapped #ultrarunner #endurance

the final 2.5 km. 🏁 ft: jelly legs | smelly, sore and exhausted bodies | of course another hypo for good measure… but the happiest finish! a mix of thank f** that’s done* and holy shit, we actually did that! proud — but mostly grateful for the adventure that was. 💜 big thank you to Erwin, Ekik and everyone who came out (even flying all the way from JKT) to greet us, support us and cheer us on for the final 2.5 and to the Tugu Monument, our finish line — you made it unforgettable. 🙌✨ __ #JAVA580 #EnduranceWithPurpose #580kmJakartaToJogja

DAY 3: our bodies hurting, brains fading… but determined. Jogja, here we come! my first real sleep in 3 days — a whopping 35 minutes. Claire had to wake me from the dead and I genuinely believed I’d teleported back to Lombok. she broke the news gently while holding me: “No babe… you’re still in Java… and you’re about to run again.” delirium was officially unlocked (more to come on this). the 500km mark felt special, and was thrilled to run the section that let to this major milestone, only 80km to go. it was also on this stretch where we finally hit a long flat road — apparently historic, built by the Dutch — and honestly the least chaotic stretch we’d had so far. Still some sketchy moments (always), but a welcome change after endless traffic madness. my gut + blood sugar were still waging an absolute war. rice with a side of Norit for breakfast — gourmet. 😅 hypos hitting relentlessly. BUT after a solid feed of rice + double tempe just before my midday run… I felt fantastic. I’d mentally prepared to go to war with myself — it felt like 40°C with hardly any shade other than the odd tree — but instead I found strength and joy for those 5km, felt euphoric. it didn’t last long, hypos came back swinging. the community support kept spirits high — cheers, waves, people coming to welcome us while offering a icey cold pocari sweat, a random run buddy joined out of nowhere and then @erwinprasetyaaaa came along and ran the final 20km into town with us. meanwhile a couple of the team started dealing with injuries and everyone was visibly exhausted. A bit of chaos in the rotation meant I got subbed in earlier than planned — around 10–11km out — and chaos with sourcing real food (IBS and coeliac friendly), meant hypo train was back on schedule. a scramble of swaps later and we reached the final 2.5km… which deserves its own highlight series — stay tuned. what pushed us through Day 3 was the promise of a bed. a real bed. and lots of support from our crew and the community. instead of arriving in Jogja at 3–4am on Monday night (as expected), we were on track for early’ish evening. __ #Java580 #EndurancsWithPurpose JakartaToJogja

DAY TWO — @java580run highlights when the relay stopped giving adventure vibes… and survival mode kicked in. day two began with our first daylight runs — a victory in itself. we’d survived night one, still tricking ourselves into thinking we were fine. the morning gave us lush green views and actual road shoulders (rare treasures) broken up by chaotic little towns. the sun punched hard, trucks were relentless, shirts came off for some. then darkness returned: chaser car glued to the runner, support car leapfrogging ahead, less rest for everyone — even our photographer @kenapabelen jumping behind the wheel, but still — all forward. one a personal note: popped a blister (a first) that’s been giving me grief all night with a syringe (fear of needles having a field day — had Claire coaching me through it) outside an Alfamart and the hypos started hitting fast and ugly. lack of sleep + rushed fueling + hypoglycemia is a nasty combo. the first big one smashed me at midday, more came at night. oh and add in food poisoning or IBS having had enough just before a nighttime leg — locked myself in a toilet, popped a Norit and mentally accepted that if I sh*t myself mid-run we’d burn the shorts roadside like the locals burn trash. luckily that was avoided, got to bring my fave run shorts home, it did slowed me down a tad — but I kept running. some of us grabbed 10–30 mins of actual sleep, others got nothing, but even a micro reset helped… ish. the night served us single-lane roads, big climbs and steep downs, trucks flying by too close — too close for comfort. still: rotation smooth, teamwork strong, only minor chaos at the 5km changeovers and car swaps. and through it all? the community showed up. run buddies, cheers, waves and smiles. support that hit deeper than caffeine — and lifting spirits like nothing else. we powered on. the first 290km felt endless — “still 490 to go.” but once we cracked halfway? momentum. “only 200 left!” — we were ahead of schedule, more determined than ever and as the night went excitement built for day 3, we should make it to Java in time to sleep, and it gets better: in a bed. 🤞🏽 __ #JAVA580 #EduranceWithPurpose #JakartaToJogja

day ONE of the @java580run ~ 20 photos that barely scratch the surface of what went down. we kicked off at sunrise with a @tvonenews interview, friends and family sending us off, and even a small crew joining for the first kilometres — including four kids from Sekolah Kami running the opening 5km with Steve, reminding us exactly why we were doing this as the relay chaos began. a 580km non-stop relay isn’t just: “run your bit ➜ rest ➜ go again.” it’s a constant chess match with moving pieces. Here’s the rhythm: • 6 runners • rotate every 5km • one runner on the road • one chaser car — sticking with the runner + calling the changeovers • one support/rest car — leapfrogging ahead every 1:25–1:30 we swap cars so each group rotates roles. so while you technically get 2:20–2:30hrs between runs… it’s never real rest. in those 90-ish minutes in the support car you must: ✔ try to sleep (good luck) or at least rest ✔ fuel — properly, not just vibes ✔ fix feet / wipe sweat ✔ maybe shower if you’re feeling lucky (I only managed ONE this entire event) ✔ swap shoes + layers ✔ repack your chaos so you can grab it fast when you change cars then the next hour? you’re waiting, watching the tracker (where is the runner, where are we, where is the support car), trying to calculate the 5km point, waiting to jump out for your turn. I was runner #2 in the team one — meaning: 🥵 12–15 mins to get out the door after car swap 😮‍💨 27–32 mins to breathe before switching cars again add Jakarta traffic for the first 35km. add the sun turning the road into a frying pan (feels like temp reaching 40 degrees) add a steep longggg climb to Bandung in the dark — narrow shoulders, trucks flying past, potholes waiting to end you — and swapping lights. and the wildest part? most of us had never met. the day before, we tested the entire system using cardboard boxes and Tupperware lids as pretend runners and cars. we got to know each other on the highway. but somehow — we found our flow. we trusted strangers with our safety. we kept the baton (tracker) moving. we laughed. we swore. we problem-solved. Day One: Survived ✔️ Smiled ✔️ Hungry for Jogja 🔥

I run far for her. I run with purpose for them. running for the girl who once doubted her strength — and proving she has more than she ever knew. 🤍 and as a team we ran the @java580run for the kids of Sekolah Kami — kids who deserve to learn and to dream. this was my 19th 5km leg on Day 3. blistered, broken sleep, hypos coming in hot and fast, a world of hurt — but @claiiriie yelling a little pep-talk from the car kept me smiling… because not only were we doing it, we were crushing it. 💪 every kilometre is a reminder: when one of us moves forward, we help others rise with us. __ #JAVA580 #EnduranceWithPurpose #ForHerForThem
