In recent weeks, reflecting on what truly matters to us, accepting our limits, safeguarding our mental health, reporting the facts while combating disinformation and fascist propaganda... seemed like all we could do. As artists - believing in the undeniable right of people to liberate their land, to struggle for the salvation of their homeland, to resist the colonizer - we think that art can only serve the cause of resistance, but what a celebration when death appears ever so present... On October 22, 2023, at Wax, it won't be a celebration, but our way of contributing to the national fundraising effort, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Tunisian Red Crescent. The Carthage section of the Tunisian Red Crescent will be on hand to collect donations. 10 TND will be the minimum amount of donation. Ces dernières semaines, réfléchir à ce qui compte vraiment pour nous, accepter nos limites, préserver notre santé mentale, rapporter les faits tout en combattant la désinformation et la propagande fasciste... semblait être tout ce que nous pouvions faire. En tant qu'artistes - croyant au droit indéniable des peuples à libérer leur terre, à lutter pour le salut de leur patrie, à résister au colonisateur - pensons que l'art ne peut que se mettre au service de la résistance, mais quelle célébration quand la mort est omniprésente... Le 22 octobre 2023, au Wax, ce ne sera pas une célébration, mais notre façon de contribuer à la collecte nationale de fonds dont les recettes seront versées au Croissant Rouge Tunisien. La section de Carthage du Croissant Rouge Tunisien sera présente pour collecter les dons. Le montant minimum du don est de 10 TND.
