Another year down.
It’s crazy to me how time flies. This marks my 7th year Djing..
I remember a week after I turned 20, I had sold my drum kit to buy some turntables and records. I remember buying 2 technics from a friend and a Rane 57 from a local store lol. (Shoutout Serato scratch live)
It was a struggle to try and teach myself. Trying to beat match 2 records not knowing anything about djing and jaysus that shit was hard back then LOL 😂
Its crazy how I never intended for this journey to turn out the way it did. Djing was just something I thought was fun in the beginning and within a year, all of a sudden before I knew it, that’s all I did.
The Early DJ times was def a struggle, Shout out to those who helped during those times. Djing events not having a car and going thru legal issues. I remember asking friends for rides to gigs, all the ubers, taking my gear onto the train, them letting me crash at their spot after late night gigs and more.
Just wanted to give a special shoutout to those during that time. Y’all know who you are.
Fast forwards 7 years. To be able to create a career out of all this is crazy to me. A lifestyle where I make people dance, have fun,sing and have the best time of their life is insane. Years ago, this would’ve been such a foreign concept. Im extremely grateful for the position that I am in.
1 year ago, I bet on myself to create a company @biloevents to scale up my DJ endeavors and create a platform where I can put on and see my DJ peers thrive. Needles to say, it’s been one hell of a year, all the ups & downs of learning how to run a business.
We are expanding things to northern CA by the end of the year 👊 We taking over baybeee
To sum things up, Sometimes it’s hard to see the future, but looking back it’s easy to see how all the dots connected.
