Some shots from the historical walking tour of White Plains I led this morning. We stopped at Battle of White Plains Park, where I noticed they were waving a semiquicentennial flag, then at Presbyterian Church where we saw the graves of Jacob and Abigail Purdy, then to Purdy House, which was General Washington's headquarters during the Battle of White Plains, then to the library, then City Hall, and finally the Armory, the birthplace of New York where the Declaration of Independence was first read in 1776.
This morning, I'll be leading a historical walking and driving tour of White Plains in honor of our nation's semiquicentennial. I know a lot of people don't feel like celebrating it due to certain people being in charge of the nation, but I'm celebrating the America that was and the American that can be!
I got this shirt a few years ago during a POINT Trip to a Yankee game in celebration of John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman's 20 years announcing Yankee games at WFAN. I have such great memories listening to John on WCBS Newsradio 880, which is sadly no longer on the air. I especially loved how he said "Theeeeeeeee Yankees win!" I'm wearing this in honor of John who passed away yesterday one year after his retirement. RIP John, you'll always and forever be the voice of the Yankees.
Big news! I'm no longer a puny silver member! I moved up to the gold membership of @rundisney ! Side effects include massive jealousy from others since I can now register for races a week earlier than general registration! I'm sure there'll also be some more swag coming my way!
Yee-honk! Welcome to our little town! Seeing @schmigadoon ! I was a big fan of the @appletv series and am still miffed that it was denied a third season!
Another bit of shameless self-promotion. I'll be in the Theater for Action production of The Wizard of Oz as the Scarecrow at the Play Group Theater on May 20 and May 21 at 7pm! I'll be posting the link in my story but you can also copy and paste from here: /e/theater-for-action-presents-the-wizard-of-oz-tickets-1987088679732?aff=oddtdtcreator
Seeing this off-Broadway show @11tomidnight . It's created by @cost_n_mayor who I know from choreographing the opening number for season 5 of @phineasandferb . @melissabecraft , a cosplaying dancer whom I follow on Insta, is also in the show. Was hoping to see @heatherrelizabethh aka Britney S. Pierce from #glee, but her understudy is on instead. But I'm here for a good time.
Just a little promo: My choir, @westchesterchoralsociety will be performing next month! Tickets are still available for both shows. This will be my third time performing Carina and it's one of my favorite pieces to sing!
One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster! @chessbway has been on my wish list for a while, but I didn't want to see it until it was guaranteed that all four leads would be in. And I lucked out @leamichele , @aarontveit , @nikriz and @thisishannahcruz are in today, with the only understudy being for an ensemble member.
