FIREWATER is out now. It is for anyone who got their heart broken and said fuck that, Ima make a new heart. For anybody who lost somebody this year. For anyone who has a mentally ill loved one who may or may not be struggling with drugs or disappearance to cope, and yet you still hold love for them and laugh through the pain. This project is Betty Davis and Alice Coltrane coded. This project took four years because I had to become the authentic soul who could deliver it from a place of love. 🦋 Happy Birthday to all my libras who embody love and excellence with grace and self mastery . if any creatives are feeling lost and frustrated at how intense things are and what to say and do, remember that we are the architects of the world as well as the ones who document human history with the most truth. personally i have entered into a deep period of intensive meditation for the past several months to discover more knowledge about myself, the present version with ancient roots and future goals. i am using my voice right now to say: if you have any gifts it is time to go within and figure out how to best amplify them now. if all you have is love to give please do give it --- but i will go a step further and highly encourage us all to research as much as we can about all the things we have been talking about / fighting over / expecting to be known so that our contributions hold more weight, more substance. even if its a love song or a club bop ---- knowledge of the self adds intention to what youre sharing. ALL GIFTS are welcomed and NEEDED for CHANGE. i am deeply pained by this terrifying side of the human experience. my contribution is love, empowerment of the body, and healing laughter where it is welcomed. im not versed on this level of warfare, but no human group should disrespect other human groups though such vile crimes against humanity. the wound created by witnessing these catastrophes and feeling helpless to physically go and stop weapons from harming unprotected people is an enormous one. the oppression in every corner of this world is all connected to one dark source. and as creatives, we are all connected to the light in some way. tap in. find your people. hate on this level is extremely organized. love needs no strategy, it just IS, but taking action with love does require organization and at the very least, acknowledgement and tuning in with one another.
i pray for worldwide love and protection every day and will keep doing so until my last one. i love you 🤍
currently exhibiting some deeply spiritual large work at @artisbondhtx for their anniversary show, "Golden Ratio" 🔥🔥 Congratulations @janicebond !! many thanks to Art Is Bond and the incredible team for bringing me back to Houston, my favorite city!! Im honored to be part of an amazing roster of artists represented by Houston's first Black owned & woman owned gallery EVER in the museum district. So much love was in this room. This is my first work properly exhibited since my mother, who always encouraged me to paint, transitioned; I met with her again during several weeks in a plant ceremony retreat held in Peru that I performed for earlier this year and since then I have been inspired to make some supreme things in LA on the low. The larger work is called Zen Garden Security Guard and the smaller is Intuition ❤️💙 thank you to my incredible artist frens who always have their hands on my back to push me forward. i love painting more than i love food... I am so happy to be showing the work from deep within my soul with @artisbondhtx 🔥🔥🔥
