Life’s thrown me through a lil loop-de-loop. Since returning from the Global Sumud Flotilla I’ve really valued my privacy and chose not to post what I’ve been up to. Mostly, it’s just been doing regular people stuff. I’ve been spending more time in Hawaiʻi as I attempt to live in two places at once, been missing my Orcas fam a bunch and seems I’ll have to push back my return as some family events require me to be here for April. Orcas is home. Hawaiʻi is home, it’s good to be back and also find new grooves as I find some of my old ones are different now. I’ve been reconnecting with the ʻāina and kai, doing stuff with friends and family. All whilst doing bunches of organizing with a few flotilla delegations. If you’re in Hawaiʻi, previously from Hawaiʻi, love Hawaiʻi in her entirety/sovereignty, Hawaiian or Palestinian and interested/wanna be involved with @hawaii_globalsumud , let me know!

COMRADES of Global Sumud Flotilla. I have the honor, the privilege and pleasure to stand alongside these gems. I never imagined becoming friends with such incredible people from all over the world. We worked some really long days, but managed to soak in times here and there and got to capture the moment. These are the gems that share my story of the @globalsumudflotilla , the stories and memories made as we sailed the Mediterranean towards Gaza. I’m lucky to know them, and many I don’t even have photos with, but you know who you are. May we continue to work together for solidarity, for sovereignty, for Palestine, for Hawaiʻi, for the Congo, for Sudan, for Ecuador, for Puerto Rico, for the Amazon, for Fairy Creek, for the Arctic, for our Oceans, for the Globe. Mahalo 2025, it’s been quite a year! I’m grateful for every single bit of what 2025 has been. There’s still lots to unpack and process, but I’ve been sitting on these photos for a while now. And it feels right to start 2026 by giving these humans a shoutout. Much love Comrades, may we continue to work towards the goals that matter, with integrity, with transparency and with heart. ♥️

We are excited to announce that Jasmine Ikeda, who was part of the incredible @globalsumudflotilla earlier this year, will be joining us this Sunday, December 7 at 6:30pm HST via this link ➡️ bit.ly/M4PZoom (case sensitive). Please join us and help spread the word! ❤️🇵🇸 🍉🌊 A little bit about our special guest: Jasmine is an experienced mariner and activist who was born and raised on Kauaʻi. As part of the Global Sumud Flotilla, she joined civilians from around the world in an effort to lift the 18-year siege + open a humanitarian corridor to deliver critical aid to Palestinians trapped in Gaza by Israel. At least 44 vessels from over 40 countries participated in the flotilla 🌍🕊️ They were met with threats, intimidation, and violence from the Israeli military (no surprise there) who surveilled and attacked several of the flotilla’s vessels and eventually abducted Jasmine and hundreds of other humanitarians illegally in international waters. After several days in Israeli custody, Jasmine was released. She continues to fight for an end to the genocide in Palestine. We are grateful she is taking the time to share her thoughts and experiences with us ❤️‍🔥🇵🇸❤️‍🔥🗝️

Before life runs away with me too far, I wanna give a shout out to my PNW ppl. Thanks for making this life so good and so fun. For being a reflection of what all humans deserve on this earth which is solid safe community. Quincy, I am filled with joy when we are together, you are trust, and family and peace of mind. @callignf gah we didn’t get any pics together, but i’m SOOOO STOKED we got to be together for a lil and the fact that you drove up for my presentation makes me gleeful like a lil child. And Ari thanks for making it possible for me to join this last @cahoneydrops show, it was radically what I needed to dance and let loose for a night! Summer, love you so dearly and glad to make it to your show, love your poetry. And all the humans who are in our circles, may the cycles keep rolling cuz I love you guys and life wouldn’t be the same without ya! The ways that we show up for each other and how you have shown up for me is deeply meaningful and I’m so grateful for each and every one of you. Many aren’t pictured or tagged, but you know who you are. 🥹 And a special shoutout to Lyd who has been a rock for me, a human that has integrity like the Earth has gravity. Ilysm, you are family and am so grateful you opened your home to me to share space to live together again in this season where I needed you. Her support means the world and is one of the best and my bests. BIG LOVE. ♥️

This past Tuesday, I had the honor of attending an event at UH Mānoa. A young man, who looked to be in middle or high school, asked a question that has stayed with me: “How do we become activists?” Emma Koa’s answer was simple yet profound: “Just by you being here, you already are.” That sentiment resonated within me last night and changed the way I saw the entire room. I looked around and realized we were more than just ordinary people. It was a room full of extraordinary folks, each with our own stories of struggle and resilience. My sincere hope is that everyone who attended not only left feeling inspired, but also carried with them a renewed sense of hope and a clear conviction to keep this energy alive. Remember, it starts here—by being present in community—and it continues when you share your story with others. May the empires continue to feel the tremor of our voices that will cause them to collapse. Show up with solidarity on your sleeve and your heart on your chest! 🤍 I’ll end with a quote from the song “The Natives,” which echoed in my mind last night. It recites a poem by renowned Palestinian poet, Mahmoud Darwish: “Plant your roots deep in the soil, and you will remain here. The land is your land, boy, this country is our country. They are ignorant people who do not know that your homeland is eternal/immortal. So stand firm, hold your ground, and be patient, for we are all behind you. How many martyrs have offered their souls to achieve certainty. O natives, hold fast, for the land is the property of the righteous.” #alohapalestine #hawaii

We did it! We accomplished a goal years in the making, and we’re only half way there. I remember saying awhile back that I wanted to eat prosciutto, Ju said we should make it, I liked the idea.. he said that we should buy a pig.. an even better idea! And so along with all the other benefits of buying a pig, it happened! Thanks to Lum and the dedication from Ju to make it all happen. He even waited till I was back home. 🥹 There’s still a couple years before the meat is cured. There’s still a lot of work on the pig I had to leave to the boys and Iona since I’ve been traveling so much. And still a lot I have to learn about processing meat. And I’m grateful for the opportunities to be closer to the food I consume. I think there is something really beautiful about being involved in all the steps of farm to table. Grateful for my friends that we make cool goals together, I know I’m in good company with these guys. We’re taking food to the next levels together and friends that eat together stay together. And boy do we eat together! 🥰 Also Jan w baby is so precious 😭♥️
