iMPRINT - Official Trailer I’ve spent time wondering from which vantage point I’ve been creating art. The truth is, my art in some way speaks to my fears. This particular project speaks to the tenderness, beauty and protection of a daddy-daughter relationship but also the fears, sad struggles and the fragility of innocence that comes with the absence of a mother, of inclusivity. —————- iMPRINT is a story about when a deaf widowed father is forced to unfold the concept of racial divide to his impressionable daughter after a life threatening experience. • • • Thank you to my team and to each of you who contributed to this powerful story! Save Yourself - Official Trailer. I originally wrote this during a depressive episode. Drowning in self doubt and judging my own inadequacy and wrote about it. How painful, right!? But what can I say, it’s the poet in me! To this day, at each step of completion, I see this story differently and I’m like, “uh oh, does this even make sense anymore”. My point is, Imposter Syndrome manifests in many forms, this is one. Thank you to my entire team! 🖤🎬

| Most Commonly Made Mistake | As a woman, it is so hard being underestimated. Moreover as a black woman, I’ve even heard someone say, “oh a black American woman is just a watered down version of an African woman” as if it isn’t hard enough to be a double minority without our men looking at us as last on the totem pole. The overwhelming disregard for the women who have sacrificed blood, sweat and tears for us to become our ancestors wildest dreams is unsettling to say the least. Nonetheless, I remain eternally grateful for this existence. I didn’t choose this existence but I will always honor this existence. It’s time to open the vault. 🔓🎞️ my films have spent the last few years traveling festivals, national TV, or hidden behind private links (iykyk) but it’s time to give them a home. for the next 3 weeks, I’m releasing my projects on YouTube. we’re starting with my second project ever, Bare w/ BRCA. this one is pretty personal—I wrote it after discovering my own BRCA gene results. I won my first award for Best Female Director with this short story of mine and I’m grateful. It’s a 10 minute glimpse of the anxiety that surrounded me at that time.
