👉🏻 Was ich hier poste:
Vor allem Travel-Ideen, Freizeitaktivitäten, Foodie-Spots, Erlebnisse & traditionelle Events. Ich bin aber immer offen für eure Vorschläge und Ideen.
Probably the crispiest burger I’ve had here in Zurich! 😱🍔 Went to try the Crispy Chicken Club in @holycowgourmetburger and I’m not gonna lie, that perfect crisp of the chicken patty, the fluffy soft bun and the sweet potato fries? got me drooling! 🤤 We also took the Buffalo Crispy Chicken burger which is essentially the same base but spicy 🌶- delicious! *ad
There is a new pop up in Zurich of Okonomiyaki in @yumeramen.limmatplatz with those SUPER delicious savoury Japanese pancakes that u can warmly recommend!! Also the Osaka dog dessert which is sesame ice cream with marshmallows in a cuuuute little hot dog shape is a MUST 👀🤤
* invitation- all opinions are mine, will come again!!! 😍

👉🏻 Things To Do in Switzerland This Weekend: May 1-3
Long weekend aheaddd which is super exciting and the highlight of the weekend is the open wine cellar event in the German speaking part of Switzerland! There is more right below & For a deeper dive feel free to check my blog at SwissOrMiss.com :)
✅ The Top Picks:
- Gruyères: The traditional Cheese Festival
- Locarno Food Truck Festival
- Tête de Moine cheese festival in Bellelay
- Bad Ragaz: The traditional May Bear (Maibär) procession
- BEA Bern, Switzerland’s largest spring fair
- Lenzburg Medieval Days
- Basel Offbeat Jazzfestival
- Almost the last chance for The Tulip Festival in Morges which runs till May 11th
✅ Things to do in Zürich or around:
- The Open Wine Cellars (Offene Weinkeller)
- A local beer hike around the Pfäffikersee
- GAGA, an electronic music event
Day Trips: Gruyères or Locarno
Both options are great! Gruyères hold a cheese festival this weekend which is an excellent opportunity for a rather unique visit and Locarno is always a great option, and this weekend even more with the street food festival.
🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨Dates: April 24-26 (my bad!!!) I posted it last night and wrote it wrong 🤦♀️
This weekend you can find the Asia food festival in Zurich located in Kloten where you can have fun street food mainly from Thailand I’d say! I love the ambience, the location is really cute as well, the dumplings are amazing, there is some live music and mango sticky rice which I really wanted to try but I was already soooo full that nothing could fit in anymore 👀
My second recommendation for May in Switzerland: the cheese festival in the medieval town of Gruyères 🥰🧀
It’s called a festival but it really feels more like a cute little market in one of the most beautiful settings you can imagine! There are flag throwers, cheese tastings, local specialties and a whole lot of other things you can do in the area like visiting the castle, going for some really nice hikes, visiting the cheese factory, the Giger cafe and even heading to the Cailler chocolate factory which is not too far 🥰
This weekend in Zurich: Sechseläuten- don’t miss it!!! 🤩
If you love historical traditions, parades, and festive music, I can highly recommend! Plus, the city is decorated, there are little concerts and guilds all around and it’s quite a unique ambience!
✅ Dates
April 17–20, 2026 (Main days: April 19–20)
✅Highlights
👉🏻 Friday, April 17 at 17:00: Evening festivities begin at Lindenhof with a relaxed atmosphere in the old town.
👉🏻 Sunday, April 19 at 14:30: The Children’s Parade. A procession in traditional costumes starting at Bellevue, looping through the city, and ending at Münsterhof.
👉🏻 Monday, April 20 at 15:00: The Guild Parade. Over 3,500 guild members and 350 riders march toward Sechseläutenplatz.
☃️ At 18:00: The Böögg burns. The traditional snowman is set on fire at Sechseläutenplatz. Arrive early for a clear view.
A bit about the history: 👀
Dating back to the 16th century, the name translates to “the 6 o’clock ringing of the bells.” It traditionally marked the start of longer spring days when the Grossmünster bell rang at 18:00 to signal extended working hours.

- Märlitram Spring Edition (for kids)

Day Trips: Basel or Lugano
Both options are fantastic in spring and they also have a cheese fest this weekend so it’s another reason to enjoy a weekend escape
One of the most beautiful rooftops here in Zurich: The Nest in @storchenzurich - it was my first time there actually and I gotta say, I loved it. Fantastic view to Lake Zurich, the old town and the river and the food is from a Michelin starred chef Stefan Jäckel 🥰 so if you’re looking for an exclusive classy spot for lunch, this might be a great option! Also, it’s possible to reserve a table for lunch which I find quite convenient to ensure a spot.
* invitation, all opinions are mine and I will come again (already planned 😋)
