Grateful to be with the @lyricalemonade crew this past year and to experience such a wild ride in this unique world we call “entertainment.”
Too many names to list here but you know who you are and I’M SO GLAD WE MET!! (New friends and even a few foes!!)
To not just witness, but to participate in; the growth, trials, experiments, and breakthroughs of many artists, freelancers, and creatives I’ve had the privilege of working with has truly been a humbling and inspiring experience. I’m so proud of my friends and the people I work with.
Here’s to another year… and to the people who choose to support their fellow humans in this difficult time. As I get older I realize how much my energy has made an impact in the lives of the people I come across and vice versa.
Collaboration has taught me that humanity can and will, (in the right context,) help itself by helping others. Something so simple as hiring a friend for “a gig” momentarily liberates them from their economic burdens. The person hiring that person gets to experience the rewards of creating an environment where everyone becomes their best selves. (One would hope.)
Helping a friend is a beautiful thing too. Not with transaction being the root cause of being there but to enrich your mind by immersing yourself in another person’s art and way of life. It can be refreshing to step outside of yourself and to see the creative process from another perspective. More recently, I also realize from my own trial and error that it is important to prioritize your own artistic rituals. At all costs.
I haven’t posted on my feed in over a year which is a somewhat meaningless observation but that’s kind of my point. I’ve been so focused on everything besides myself that I’ve begun to lose all sense of self… which I’m hoping is the gateway to the new life that has just begun!!
My resolution is to focus on being a “positive” influence wherever I am. It’s not necessarily about emotions… it’s about contributing energy. Produce don’t destroy!

A very rocky but exciting start this year has been to say the absolute least… it’s surreal to think about but “can’t complain” has been the only thought on my mind lately.
I can’t escape the realization of how lucky I am/we are. The pressure of this realization can also be rather disarming, but seeing people, (even the ones I’m not actively in touch with,) stay motivated, creative, and present in their lives in spite of everything going on has been so inspiring. I’m so grateful for this amazing life we get to share and for the incredible people in it… I want to choose love over fear every damn day. As the days go on, I get the increasing suspicion that a lot of people feel the same way.
While trying my best to transcend the thought patterns and behavior I tend to gravitate towards; I find something more fulfilling/meaningful instead is to recognize the validity in emotions, not just the logic driving one’s decision-making. I keep learning everyday while seeing the benefits from my trial and error. I’ve made lots of mistakes lately in exchange for what seems to be becoming sustainable progress. Or at least I hope so. Like many, I’m just trying to get more comfortable with myself so I can actually make the world around me a better place. Seeing us all grow and change through the challenges has also been an experience in itself… I truly wish everyone well and hope you see the light inside all of us even when it’s dark outside. I’ve been thinking about getting old a lot lately. I honestly can’t wait to see how this all plays out… these past few years have been filled with some life-rending plot twists as well as a ton of huge breakthroughs for everyone. I hope we all laugh it off and hug it out in the end.
