Join us at the Marché du Film in Cannes for a special screening of our new documentary on Romare Bearden at the Palais I theatre: 🗓 Friday, May 15, 2026 🕔 2:00 PM 📍 Palais I, Marché du Film – Palais des Festivals, Cannes In 1950, Bearden fell in love with France, and the time he spent in Paris helped shape the vision he brought back to Harlem and to the world. It’s an honor to return with his story to this global stage, surrounded by filmmakers, artists, and lovers of cinema and art. Directed by Deborah Riley Draper and produced by Coffee Bluff Pictures, this film celebrates Bearden’s genius, his Harlem roots, and his enduring influence on art and Black visual storytelling. #MDF #MarcheDuFilm #Cannes #CoffeeBluffPictures #FilmmakersLife

Jarobi Moorhead + Teal Holliday here. We’re Thee Color Block — building intentional rooms for bold stories. Jarobi keeps the wheels turning (emails/meetings) and sets the soundtrack. Teal builds the digital home (socials/website) and hosts Potluck. We curate the vibe together. Always.

I’ve been quietly working to tell the story of a man who spoke loudly and clearly through his art. ROMARE BEARDEN: A Life in Collage is now in post-production, and I’m excited to bring his voice to the screen in 2026. This #GivingTuesday is about ensuring his legacy lives on. Your tax-deductible gift through our fiscal sponsor, Southern Documentary Fund, helps us finish the film and carry Bearden’s work into cinemas and communities. It has been such journey to write and direct a film about an artist, especially one that I respect so much. I admired his work long before I even became a filmmaker. Being deeply immersed in Bearden's canon—his art, his writing, his deep connection to music and his activism—has inspired me. It has pushed me to expand fully and unapologetically as a writer and filmmaker, and to keep telling stories about the people, places, and things that are special to us. And what a talented group on this project producing @jarobi__ @msjociemoore @thegreatrobinl @iammikkitaylor @alva.curator !!! It would be wonderful if you are able to give a gift to this project. You can via QR code or below. You can also gift us a share or re-post- that's wonderful too. Let's create a fervor around this unbelievably talented artist who created beautiful, whole worlds through fragments of paper and cloth and paint: workforgood.com/projects/237031-romare-bearden-a-life-in-collage #GivingTuesday #RomareBearden #ALifeInCollage #SupportIndieFilm #SupportBlackArt #ArtandCulture #CoffeeBlufPictures

A weekend suspended in light. Love in its purest form. Quiet, wild, and ours. We were surrounded by trees that seemed to hold their breath for us. Friends who became family. Family who felt like grace. Every moment unfolded like a film we never wanted to end. Laughter under string lights, tears in the sunlight, the air thick with joy. These were candid moments, taken on film by a @marcos.carino who also honored us by being our flower man. Not even the official photos, but somehow they capture everything that mattered. Our film team is excited as we wrap up production next month and head into post-production. ROMARE BEARDEN: A LIFE IN COLLAGE is becoming a fantastic documentary about an incredible artist. Telling our stories isn’t easy, but we are up for the challenge. Please join us in the matching challenge. Every dollar you contribute is tax-deductible, and donor Fay Ferguson will match the donation up to $10,000 through September 5. And a big thank you to all of you who have donated so far and support indie films, as funding for the critical cultural stories disappears. Meet the people behind the musical memoir. This team took my story and helped turn it into a full-blown show, with lights, arrangements, direction, and a whole lot of heart. Kayden King — Director (and my best friend of 15 years) He’s shaping the emotional arc and blocking my chaos in real time. Off-Broadway debut. Lifelong friend. Dramaturgical soulmate. Zachary Catron — Music Director & Arranger Zach is the heart behind the harmony. He arranged the entire show and makes the music feel like memory. This is his Off-Broadway debut, and somehow he still answers my texts. Jarobi Moorhead — Producer My fiancé. A 3-time Emmy-winning producer. And the one who said “yes” to this before there was a script, a budget, or a plan. He believed in the show before I did. It may be my story, but they’re why it’s happening. Color Me Crazy, Too May 12 — The Triad Theater Livestream available Ticket link in bio 10% of proceeds go to @thelovelandfoundation Because healing is collaborative, and so is chaos. . . . . #livemusic #nycevents #supportblackartists #womenwhocreate #creativeentrepreneur #theaterlife #musicianlife #independentartist #storyteller #healingjourney #artistontherise #behindthescenes #makeart #creatorsofinstagram #onstage #blackexcellence #artheals #performanceart #passionproject #bigdreams

🎉 Thrilled to officially announce our film, ROMARE BEARDEN: A LIFE IN COLLAGE, at Art Basel 2024, with the incredible support of LVMH and Moët Hennessy USA! 🥂 December 2nd: We kicked off with an intimate dinner at Mr. Chow, featuring a 3-course menu paired with Dom Pérignon 2015, Insignia 2019, and Hennessy Paradis, with insights from Victor Blanquart, Moët Hennessy’s private client director. The evening ended with the debut of our first teaser—a truly unforgettable moment. 🎤 December 4th: At the LVMH Culture House, we hosted the panel “ART, ACTIVISM, AND THE POWER OF ROMARE BEARDEN”, featuring Tschabalala Self, Tallal ElBoushi, and Diedra Harris-Kelley, who shared powerful insights into Bearden’s legacy and art’s role in driving social change. 🎨 We also partnered with DC Moore Gallery and Alva Greenberg to showcase Bearden’s Bayou Fever series, publicly displayed for the first time in over 20 years. None of this would have been possible without our extraordinary director, Deborah Riley Draper, whose vision and leadership brought this beautiful week to life. Her artistry and passion will guide this incredible project to the promised land, and I’m truly honored to partner with her in sharing Bearden’s remarkable story. This project means the world to me—not just as a producer, but as someone profoundly inspired by Bearden’s life and work. Being part of this growing community—from our talented collaborators to everyone championing the film—makes this journey deeply meaningful and rewarding. Special thanks to Tiara Chesmer-Williams, Corey Smith, Jocelyn Moore, Robin Lyon, and the team at Coffee Bluff Pictures for believing in this vision. Proud to have Southern Documentary Fund as our fiscal sponsor. This is just the beginning, and I’m excited for what’s next!
