Do your art your way. The less you follow the rules and the people around you, the more you’re able to tap into your true expression. It’s tempting to conform to the world around you. It’s tempting to simply do what other people are doing — especially if their art and model has been proven. But the more you can resist that urge, the more authentic your art will be. If you’re an artist seeking a residency, we’re announcing ours soon. Comment ARTIST to ent he first to know. Stay tuned.

The part most people aren’t ready to hear: Your art is going to be bad before it’s good. And there is no shortcut around it. Not a workshop. Not a mentor. Not the right camera, the right software, the right studio, the right moodboard. Nothing skips the part where you’re not very good yet. Everyone wants to be the exception. Nobody is. You’re going to make work you’re embarrassed by. You’re going to pour yourself into a piece and watch it come out worse than what lives in your head. You’re going to compare yourself to artists ten years ahead of you and quietly wonder if you’re just not built for this. You are built for this. You’re just early. The reason it feels unbearable is because social media only shows you the finished version. You never see the 500 bad paintings. The scrapped drafts. The years of work nobody clapped for. You see the peak and assume you should already be there. You shouldn’t. Nobody starts there. So if you’re new, stop trying to skip the messy part. The messy part is where your actual voice gets built. It’s the only season where you get to explore without pressure, and once it’s gone, it’s gone. Be bad on purpose. Be bad in public. Be bad for longer than feels comfortable. That is the work. Comment ARTIST to learn more about our summer 2026 residency programs.

It was 2020 and the world was breaking down. Los Angeles was very much closed-off and we set off on a long road trip. What we found in Montana was space, time and a slower pace that lent itself to true creativity. When we landed in Montana in 2020 we knew we would do something big here and after years, A.I.R. is finally coming to life. We are working on the premier retreat space for artists and a location for you to unplug in one of the most beautiful places in the country. Arts Incubator Ranch is more than a creative retreat, we are going to be the ultimate place for your events, your gatherings and your artist residencies. Stay tuned for live updates about us as we create this dream project in Bozeman, MT. Make sure to stay connected by commenting ARTIST below so you can be the first to hear about our summer 2026 openings.

In an era that glorifies speed and measures worth by output, we offer something different. A quiet counter to the urgency of modern culture. At Arts Incubator Ranch, we create space for what cannot be rushed. Time to think.Time to wander.Time to begin again. Here, your work unfolds in nature, in community, and within a framework of meaningful support. Not driven by pressure but guided by your pace. We honor the creative process over performance. We value exploration over acceleration. We protect slow processes over immediacy. And in a moment defined by rapid automation, we stand for something enduring:human imagination.Human hands.Human perspective. Because the future of art is not speed but in our own humanity. -Jared Join us in returning to a slower rhythm of creation. Comment ARTIST to learn about our artist residencies

Artists take risks. We risk vulnerability. We risk being seen. We risk uncertainty, relationships, and opportunities. But it’s in those risks, the big leaps, the bold moves, that something meaningful begins to unfold. If you’re standing at the edge, waiting for the right moment, what are you waiting for? There is no perfect time. There is only the decision to step forward. After nearly two decades in this industry, one thing is clear, risk creates opportunity. The more you’re willing to put yourself out there, the more life meets you in return. Don’t be afraid to be seen. Don’t be afraid to be a little uncomfortable. Get cringe. Take the jump. When the world feels unsteady, we return to creation. It is a quiet remedy for the noise, a gentle answer to the chaos. All around us, there are problems asking to be seen, to be felt, to be reimagined. And it is the role of creative souls to respond—not by repeating what already exists, but by offering something new. We are the ones who dream forward. We are the ones who shape possibility. Through art, through expression, through bold and tender innovation, we open pathways toward peace, toward understanding, toward a deeper sense of unity. Art is the language without words that has the ability to bring people together. This is what we are creating at Arts Incubator Ranch in Bozeman, Montana.A place where creatives are given room to breathe, to explore, to express By holding space for this work and by honoring time, space, and support—we are tending to something essential: the future of human creativity itself. The power of collaboration can’t be overstated. Because something shifts when you create with other people. When you’re in a room sharing ideas, building off each other, bringing your energy together into something bigger than any one person. Last week in New York, I had the chance to see @realmarcusking live at the Blue Note. On his own, he’s incredible — the kind of artist who can command any room. But when he was joined by other musicians…something else happened. It became bigger.Deeper.Alive in a different way. That’s the magic of collaboration. And it’s one of the core things we’re building at A.I.R. —bringing creatives together, surrounding artists with other artists, in support of their best work. Because the right environment and the right people can elevate everything. Support your artist friends, they need it. Not just with words. Not just with a like or a quick comment. Real support means showing up, sharing their work, investing in what they’re creating, and recognizing the courage it takes to put something meaningful into the world. At A.I.R., we believe artists need more than inspiration—they need space, community, and people who truly stand behind them. Because when artists are supported, they create their best work. And when they create their best work, we all benefit. That is what we are building at Arts Incubator Ranch and we need your help to make this dream a reality. Something happens when you open up space for creativity. The noise begins to fade, and you’re able to focus on what’s right in front of you. The idea for Arts Incubator Ranch was born on a trip to Montana, and it makes sense that this is where the vision continues to grow. Because I know what happens when you give yourself the time and space to create. I know the kind of focus and productivity that can emerge when you step away from the city. When you leave behind the constant stimulation and the pressure that comes with living in places like Los Angeles or New York. So often, an artist’s identity becomes tied to where they live rather than what they create. But what happens when you remove that layer? What happens when you’re no longer just an artist in a city, but an artist in nature? Something shifts. Ideas move differently. Creativity opens up. The work becomes deeper and more intentional. That is the environment we are cultivating at Arts Incubator Ranch in Montana. A place where artists can slow down, reconnect with their work, and create something meaningful. When we left LA, a lot of people met the decision with skepticism. What would we do in Montana? Why would we leave the city? We’d be leaving our networks behind, so how would we work? But the truth is, our creativity has flourished since arriving in Montana. We’ve found and built an incredible community of creatives here, people who are all deeply committed to making their best work. There’s a shared sense of intention that’s hard to describe until you experience it. We left the city for nature, and it has been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. If you’ve been on the fence about relocating, this is your sign to take the risk. You can create your art from anywhere, and sometimes a new environment is exactly what opens the door to your most meaningful work. That’s part of what we’re building at Arts Incubator Ranch in Bozeman, Montana. A place designed for artists to come together, slow down, and create. We’d love for you to join us as we build one of the premier spaces for artists to work in the United States. Comment LEGACY to build A.I.R. With us
