The Lord has kept his hand on you throughout your whole life, and even in the midst of trials and tribulations, he knew what he had in store for you. Like your grandma said many years ago “the Lord is going to use you” and look and what he’s done!!! You have put in hours of hard work, stayed strictly disciplined, and healed from injuries to your body and mind. Yet you still persevere. You don’t just have resilience, YOU ARE RESILIENCE!! Deontay, you have shown the world the anointing of God, a Power that is unmatched. This is the COURAGE OF A LION!!!! You have put your trust in God and known that you will not fail!!! 10 years ago today, I became an recording artist. I was only 16 at the time, and this had been a dream of mine my whole LIFE. I was asked to feature on a Christmas song- and I remember being in the vocal booth like wow… this is what I’m going to do. I know it! From an early age I knew I wanted to be an a performer, I wanted to be a STAR. Even tho my journey has never stopped, I know now what my purpose truly is in doing it. Honestly, I just want to thank the Lord for even bestowing me with gift. I thank the Lord for never leaving my side even when I went astray, & I thank HIM for keeping His hand on me all these years as I (attempted to) navigated this crazy world. His mercy never FAILS!! Finally it’s time to make music for the Kingdom of God and I’m so grateful that the journey has brought me here!
