To all mothers out here: happy mothers day. I know it’s a fox giving flowers to a dressed up swan , but it’s the best I could find on a local flee market. It’s from around 1880, called a magic lantern. Not in a good condition but some interesting Victorian era illustrations. The old woman asked me 5 euro. I gave 10. Mothers’ day and all.
The answer to the question: ‘did you really find a new vintage Atari on the local flee market in the morning before starting a full day of retrogaming and game design workshops?’ is yes
Early morning coffee. Office for the day.

On my quest to innerpeace, inspiration and limoncella, I had a morning run on an Italian Mediteranean beach, laughed with influencers in Portofino, and drove to Milan, Corso Como 10, where a large octopus is coming out of the building and three giant face robots were looking at me eating vitello tonato.
Today’s inspiring meeting might very well result in a new collaboration for workshops and our Fête de la Science parcours. An amazing place. Personal note: need to come back with someone to test the restaurant. #geneva🇨🇭 @telepheriquedusaleve 🇫🇷
For your inspiration. And mine.
I decided to drive away yesterday until there was no rain anymore. I ended up four hours later in the French Provence in Carpentras. For years I’ve been looking for large scale glass negatives for use in Addictlab’s cyanotype classes - I have but one. Now I stumbled upon an old worn out box with 17 frames, some good, some heavily damaged.
Been spending my morning in figuring out who, what, where and when. Quickly inverted images in photoshop. Zooming in on fashion, carriages, boats, signs and buildings.
I timetravelled. I walked around Place de la Bastille 140 years ago. Visited Rouen and Reims and took a train in Normandie. Spoke to a fisherman and flirted with a woman holding an umbrella on the beach.
I guess between 115-145y old. I even found old postcards online , coming from these original negatives…. Don’t guess what I paid, because it’s less. But what’s it worth? (And I’m not talking money)
I will put the collection on display during the Fête de la Science in October. But coming to our cyanotype classes before that. Because heritage is part of our future.
