We are very excited to work on this project for @thistleroseacademy . The project is a collaboration between many Detroit area artists with a performance at the Hillberry Gateway at Wayne State University on May 17th, 7:30.
I am especially excited to work on this project because I have been able to include my daughter @kyrajantz as the designer. (Not just because she is my daughter but because she can draw animals way better than me!)
Why cardboard, you ask? The title and theme of the project is "Our Shared Home", so it was important to us as the puppet designers to use materials that are environmentally friendly. Almost all the materials in this project are repurposed or scrap. The only exception is the glue and hardware.
