This line is something else!! I’ve been at @festseries Malmedy in 2019 watching and wondering how it is riding these jumps. Now, 4 years later here we are. I’m so happy i went through the line behind @marcinrotacja , even if I didn’t hit the last hip. Wanted to in one of the next rounds, but got nose heavy later on the 2nd jump and hit the eject button. I’m still amazed I’m in one piece.

The @battcrew boys are already hard at work on the @kope_mountain_resort hills – digging, shaping, and perfecting the bike park. This year we’re bringing more upgrades: fresh new lines, a brand new asphalt pumptrack, and most importantly… the legendary Hammer Line is gonna be back open for the park line! 🚧
⚔️ On the Hammer Line we’ll be running two bike events this year Whip Off competition and the Fest Wildcard Event.
If you want to ride the main Fest line, now’s the time to start building that confidence and airtime feelings. Then practice on the Hammer Line – since FEST Wildcard event is already on first day of the festival - Monday!

⚔️Na Hammerju bomo letos izvedli dva bike eventa: Whip Off tekmovanje + Fest Wildcard Event.
Vsi, ki hočete na glavno Fest linijo, zdajle začnite nabirati samozavest in občutek za airtime. Priporočamo, da to pred tem še malce povadite na Hammer liniji, saj je wildcard event že v ponedeljek, na prvi dan festivala!

Last year was the first year of the @flatoutdays at @bikeparkkope , and it was the biggest push ever. Building the bike park from scratch is one thing, but bringing the festival back meant we needed a new @festseries line as well. I went full-in with the build and pushed as hard as we could in the time we had. We managed to build 7km of new lines in the park and the new fest line with 5 jumps. All of it was definitely out of this world, but we made it happen and I’m so proud of the whole crew and everyone that helped out and was part of it!
I thought I’d be able to ride as well, but I soon realized it wouldn’t be possible. So I put my bike in the corner and focused on making the project happen. We had more than a month of dry weather before the festival and had to water constantly. Then, right before the event, storms hit us hard. Since everything was fresh, the heavy rainfall did a lot of damage and we had to fix most of the fest line and some park lines. This repeated twice at the start of the festival week and we were just repairing the same things over and over.
We tried everything to make the fest line rideable, but in the end it was just too soft. Only the first big jump was rideable. I was quite stressed whether the line would work, but it was such a good moment when @pascal_kobl did the first hit and cleared the jump. I was definitely relieved. On Friday we had the best session on that first jump and some insane tricks were thrown! A couple of days after the festival, @pascal_kobl and @_lukmayer_ even cleared the next 2 jumps. It was such a good feeling to see the line was more or less working.
We are now back on the mountain preparing the bike park for the opening. In a couple of weeks the shaping of the fest line starts again, along with a couple of new builds in the park. Thank you Monika for sticking with me through everything to make this happen, it really is part of our life. Looking forward to a little chiller year with more time for riding my bike, and most importantly, more time with my lady. See you all in the bike park and at the festival! It’s good to have the energy back! 🤘🏻
