Splendor & Villainy is out now..
this album is something i’ve only ever dreamt of making and i’m so beyond excited to share it. from writing songs in my freshman dorm to performing them with some of my closest friends 4 years later, this album is really a love letter to our time at wesleyan.
zay and i used to be extremely anxious about sharing our music with anyone, even each other, so to have it out there means so much to me. i an so grateful for my bandmates ben, isaiah, and evie, and past bandmates clara, ben, and rory, and anyone and everyone who’s supported me in music making. i’m gonna stop being corny now but i am really so happy to have this record out. please go listen on full volume and dance around :,))

i lost my Gindy last week. if you were lucky enough to meet her you would know that she was the kindest soul to ever walk this earth. behind that gentleness was an immense strength and a will to keep going through everything in the name of love and family. Gindy was my biggest fan and one of my best friends and i truly don’t have words to explain what i’m feeling right now. but through this week of grief my family and i have marveled at how many people have reached out and shared their stories about Gindy. for one, an old middle school student of hers from 30 years ago told us how Gindy had left her a voicemail just two weeks ago saying how proud she was of the person this student had become. how she was able to spread so much love and make so many people feel seen on top of all she did for my family is beyond me.
as put so beautifully by my aunt Gloria, “lots of kids have grandmas, but only a special few are lucky enough to have a Gindy”. tell the people in your life that you love them because things can change in the blink of an eye. i love you forever Gindy❤️
Are you blind when you’re born?
Can you see in the dark?
Dare you look at a king?
Would you sit on his throne?
Can you say of your bite that it’s worse than your bark?
Are you cock of the walk when you’re walking alone?
Because jellicles are and Jellicles do
Jellicles do and Jellicles would
Jellicles would and Jellicles can
Jellicles can and Jellicles do
When you fall on your head,
Do you land on your feet?
Are you tense when you sense
There’s a storm in the air?
Can you find your way blind
When you’re lost in the street?
Do you know how to go to the Heaviside Layer?
Because Jellicles can and Jellicles do
Jellicles do and Jellicles can
Jellicles can and Jellicles do
Jellicles do and Jellicles can
Jellicles can and Jellicles do
Can you ride on a broomstick to places far distant?
Familiar with candle, with book, and with bell?
Were you Whittington’s friend?
The Pied Piper’s assistant?
Have you been an alumnus of heaven and hell?
Are you mean like a minx?
Are you lean like a lynx?
Are you keen to be seen when you’re smelling a rat?
Were you there when the pharoahs commissioned the Sphinx?
If you were and you are, you’re a Jellicle Cat!

In the dim light of the Monsters, Inc. break room, Mike Wazowski leaned back against the counter, his single eye sparkling with mischief. The usual hum of the factory had faded, leaving an electric tension in the air. Across the room, Sulley was flipping through a stack of paperwork, his massive form a comforting presence.
“Hey, big guy,” Mike called, a teasing smirk on his face. “You know, with all this paperwork, we could use a little break.”
Sully looked up, a playful grin spreading across his blue fur. “And what do you suggest? More scare practice?”
Mike sauntered closer, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “How about we unleash some creativity of our own?”
Sully raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Oh? What did you have in mind?”
With a swift motion, Mike grabbed Sully’s massive hand, pulling him towards the storage closet. The air was thick with anticipation as Mike pushed the door shut behind them, leaving the world of scare floors far behind.
Inside, the cramped space was filled with shadows, the scent of dust and machinery lingering in the air. Mike’s heart raced as he turned to face Sully, their eyes locking in a charged moment. “It’s just us in here. No distractions,” he said, his voice low.
Sully leaned in, his breath warm against Mike’s cheek. “I like the sound of that.”
