Hi, Iâm Daze
I was born in Miami Jackson, Cuban dad, Nicaraguan mom. I lived in Little Havana / Miami area till the age of 11-12 then moved / relocated to Hialeah around 1996-97 or so. I went to Barbara Goleman High School until I got kicked out and sent to an opportunity school - West Hialeah Institute - for a certain period. Then went back and Graduated from Barbara Goleman in 2002.
Iâm an entrepreneur with many different talents and traits: Barber, Tattoo Artist, Photographer, Model, Acting, have my own supplement/ lifestyle/ clothing brand/ company. And freelance occasionally in other forms of commissioned arts.
Best description I can give on what Hialeah means to me is that âItâs Home đ¤â.
Home in the sense of it being a part of my growth and evolution. My upbringing. My Family. A part of me that can never be forgotten and with good reason. Hialeah has made and molded me into the human I am today from the wins and losses I have experienced till this day. Hialeah will forever be a part of my lifeâs story . I AM HIALEAH .

Hi, Iâm Lazaro Gamon
Born and raised in Hialeah from Cuban parents (Cambridge Apartments). I went to Milam Elementary, Jose MartĂ middle school, Graduated from Barbara Goleman
I am barber and owner of Lazaritoâs Barber Shop.
Hialeah means everything to me, itâs not just the city where I was born and raised, itâs the place that shaped who I am. Every street, every park, every corner holds a memory, from childhood bike rides to late-night hangouts in the projects I grew up at! The energy, the culture, the people, thereâs a warmth and resilience here that you canât find anywhere else. Hialeah taught me the value of hard work, community, and staying true to my roots. No matter where life takes me, Hialeah will always be home in my heart!

Hi, Iâm Cristobal
I was born in Hialeah Hospital, Mom from Cuba, Dad from Hialeah of Cuban parents. I was raised by my Grandmother and Great Grandmother just outside of Mango Hill. I am Aaliyahâs dad and I own Nostalgia Miami.
I put this campaign together to show everyone that Hialeah isnât just fango y factoria - Hialeah is a cultural melting pot, where no matter who you curse off for cutting you off en la 49, we will always have each others backs in a time of need. When someone asks âwhere are you fromâ I never say Miami, I proudly say I am from Hialeah.

Hi, Iâm Soph
I am a proud daughter of Colombian and Nicaraguan immigrants, born at Hialeah Hospital and raised in the heart of Hialeah.
I grew up just 0.2 miles from Morro Castle, the Cuban cafĂŠ that became a symbol of home, NOSTALGIA, and unity for me and my family. Even after moving away in my early 20s, I kept finding my way back â partly for the Cuban bread and cafecito, but mostly because Hialeah is one of a kind.
This city shaped me. From attending all schools in the city to graduating from Hialeah Senior High, to working for the city of Hialeah. The city taught me humility, resilience, and to never forget where I came from. Great people and stories come out of Hialeah.
Now, I work as manager of KITH in Miami Design District. Itâs been an exciting journey filled with growth and opportunity and it all started here, at home.
