Hey Dad,
You know I love you.
You taught me so much, in your own ways. I’ll always remember the red van, and how you’d always bring me to the book fairs at school. You’d bring me to pick up my personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut every time I got an award for getting an A. You’d always be so proud of me. Karaoke will never be the same without you. All of us were always in awe of how you’d sing every note perfectly, and give us a performance of bravado and style. You gave that to me too. You sacrificed a lot too. You gave it all you had to give, especially till the end. We all had so much more love to give you, and I’ll keep that love close to me forever.
You gave us so much with everything you had, we’ll never forget that. There’s so much more I wanted to say to you, but I’m thankful we were able to spend time together these past couple of weeks.
The love of a child, the love of a father for his children and their children.
My heart’s going to be broken for a while. I miss you.
I know you’ll always be with us. This isn’t goodbye forever, just for now.
