The Weight of the Light
Home has been sitting heavy on my heart in the wake of the recent tragedies with Hurricane Melissa. Jamaica is where my eye was shaped, where I learned to see people in their fullness, and where my work always returns. Earlier this year, I spent three months back home documenting, listening, and building my artistic practice in a deeper way.
“The Weight of the Light,” a portrait of Zidane, is one of the first images I made during those months, capturing him in that timeless space between play, focus, and imagination.Over the next few weeks, I’ll begin sharing more moments that hold our beauty, resilience and the quiet truths that live between the lines.
