This past Sunday I had the honor to be a judge at The First Annual Battle of the Jam. There were approximately 35 submissions which were narrowed down to 12 diverse performances, mostly original music at an incredible venue. A huge turnout of fans, approximately 250 people cheering on their friends and family. Well done @districtmusichall and @factoryundergroundstudio for putting on a great show and showcasing our local youth. Congratulations to all the participants! I am so proud JAM was your sponsor. Goodbye Rowayton! I couldn’t fit 26 years in a reel but wanted to somehow pay homage to the village where we raised our children and I evolved. Life is full of chapters, couldn’t squeeze them all in, let alone the characters who graced the pages but I am thankful🙏🏽
My story continues in Chatham, Cape Cod, where I have opened a jam-centric coffeehouse. This is a personal investment and a challenging endeavor but so far I am very proud of the results and continue to support our 501c3. Hello Jam Fans! We just delivered my golf cart which was hand graffiti-ed by local artist 5 Fingaz to be auctioned off as a fundraiser for future vacation programs @theartmonsterstudio .
Many of you may say, “Dre I didn’t know you played golf and what does JAM have to do with golf?!”
Well, life is full of surprises, and this golf cart was bequeathed to me and I bequeath it to Norwalk with a little added flare.

Huge shout out to @jamstudioct - They generously stepped up and helped us put on the best summer workshops of the year! We were able to host over 250 kids over 9 weeks and offer low cost and affordable workshops for the Side by Side school and the Carver Summer camps. We are also now able to offer private lessons for children/adults with disabilities. 🙏🏽❤️ We are grateful to be able to help the community through art and self expression! Here’s to more.
