Iāve long been obsessed with making sure my Instagram feed is completely cohesive. It stops me from posting often because I get caught up on the minutiae. One of the greatest things about shooting film is learning to let go of some of that perfectionism. I have been shooting film since I was a child - Iād get it developed at Longs (Iām old, I know) and by the time I graduated high school there wasnāt an inch of visible wall space in my bedroom. Yet for some reason, I avoid posting film on my feed because it doesnāt match the aesthetic. Youāll never catch me without at least 2 film cameras at a wedding, so it feels a bit silly to be so scared to post the film work on my feed. So here I am embracing the perfect imperfections of film and giving up the perfectionist feed for more authenticity and real life.
