Will be dreaming of this one for quite a while. Last week I caught and released this trophy brown trout from Waterton Lakes National Park, Canada 🇨🇦. It slurped a singularly unique hand-tied wet fly on a river between the middle and lower lakes. The fly is now retired onto my hat. Tying and tying and tying all the time. Restocking, experimenting, practicing. I fish all kinds of flies so love trying in all styles. Recently it’s been more and more deer hair heads on dungeons and wooly sculpins. Plenty of streamers like thinmints, envies, legals. Tons of jig nymphs like rubber legs, Duracells, blowtorches, princes, frenchies. And lots of tiny dries like black elk hair caddis, irresistible adams, timmys and mole flies.
