We organized Rodney Omeokachie's first solo art exhibition in a decade at the finale of The Young God Fridays trilogy. The theme was ART IN HEAVEN as in 'Our Father who ART IN HEAVEN'😉
The event came with a unique twist whereby attendees listened to Rodney's podcast, The Young God, while engaging with his visual artworks, making it the first ever art exhibition + podcast listening ON EARTH.
The epic showcase was done in partnership with @jamitstudios (podcast hosting platform) and @loud_n_silence (a sound company) at @thesynchub (the dopest creative space in Abuja Nigeria).
The 3hr event took place on the 24th of April, 2026 from 7PM. It was an unprecedented symphony of sight and sound. Over 30 individuals witnessed the milestone moment while 11 special guests left with artworks
We offered the strategic guidance that allowed such an original idea take place without a hitch. From the theme, to curation of artwork, to the the selection of the accompanying audio (podcast episode), to the overall event flow. We offered creative design and professional photo and video documentation as well.

My dream came true on Friday, the 27th of April, 2026, when I gathered 30 odd people into a room for a special first-of-its-kind experience: podcast listening party + art exhibition where guests listened to my podcast while viewing my visual art. It was the finale of my variety show called The Young God Fridays. The stakes were high.
In the months of planning that preceded the show, I didn't know how that would go -- how it would be received -- if the experience would mesh -- if my voice and my visual art would flow. But I knew I had to try. I picked the episode titled 'We Should All Be Artists' (the audio in the clip) and curated 11 artworks from over 200 created over the last 11 years. 11 artworks that were created in a heavenly state of mind. Hence the theme: ART IN HEAVEN.
On the day, I rolled the dice -- and the rest was history. I watched as fans, friends and strangers moved between each artwork, headphones on, my aural art infiltrating their hearts and minds while my visual art fed their eyes and soul. It was good. It was magic. It was heaven. You just had to be in the room.
The event has come and gone and now I have evidence. I have a sample size. I have proof of concept. I am ready to take this experience to another level. Next time, it might be a group exhibition. Who know? Watch this space. The question is: Will you be there?
