@schramnate was the missing link to what Music Discovery at @othership would become: live music guiding you through the cold. I texted him about playing our first experience back in May 2025 as he was coming off stage at Carnegie Hall with @attaccaquartet : "wait... I can cold plunge too?" I knew he was in. In the cold, something shifts. Adding live music changes how you meet it: less resistance, more presence. Rhythm gives your breath something to hold onto. Melody reframes the intensity into something meaningful. The music turns the cold into an experience you move with, not something you fight. 🚀🎶

Inspired by a few folks who asked how I reflect moving into a new year… 🌷1-3 words/phrases to anchor your next year This has been the most useful for me. When at a crossroad or any big decision in your year, it’s helpful to have something simple to anchor you into potential next steps that align with your bigger purpose. It’s also a great way to reflect at the end of the year. My 2025 anchors were healing the money wound and leaning into/learning the nuances of pleasure. 2024 was slow down. 2026 TBD, and I usually keep it to myself for a while😸 🌷Voice note I haven’t done this one since 2020, but I did it prior for many years. Sometimes you just gotta blah blah blah all the details with yourself to help process, reflect and move forward. 🌷Photo album / share memories I create a yearly folder that highlights moments from the year. This is a nice way to reconnect with your favorite humans or those who just passed through for a memorable experience during the year. 🌷Writing/Reflecting I do this in sections and try to be as specific as possible: hobbies, work, people, intentions and manifestations. I refine it throughout January and it's something I'll revisit many times. 🌷 Write a song / find a creative project For all the inner artiiiiists out there. Sometimes, when there's one prominent topic on your mind that you can't escape and embodies the year, it's nice to let it all out. Share it with your closest friends or only yourself. Not everything you create is meant for consumption 🌀 There's never a right or wrong time to reflect 🫶 Share your favorites if you have any!

2025 started as a deep listening to an inner yes, which slowly became a shared experience. My team @kittyrecords__ , @indigosoulnyc and I created a live performance setup at @othership , pairing contrast therapy and wellbeing practices as a new way to experience live music. We had 20+ artists share their gifts, 700+ journeyers and 200K+ digitally experience Music Discovery Night and Live Music w/ Breathwork. A huge thank you to the amazing team (guides and behind the scenes) at Othership for making this happen, especially my co-creator @iamsharissefrancisco .🙏 We closed out the year with one of the best musicians and huggers in NYC, @reallouiscato . We’re only getting started. 🌱✨💜 🎶 This Time of Year — Louis Cato

Grateful to be at the third annual @jump.global summit. I spoke the first evening how inspired I was to meet so many new faces this year, and I left feeling grateful to see how transformative the space that @nickmaiale @jjfarrellmusic and Garrett created really is. Intimate gatherings that connect you to who you really are, surrounded by people that can hold space for transformation and nuance of the human experience. That's what's up. We love you Garrett. Your light is luminous. See y'all next April and November💙🪩

reflecting on one of the most magical trips & approaching the last year of my 20's: I'd rather connect deeply with one human than touch the surface with many. This comes from sitting with the question of "what does impact really mean" since early 2023. I'm still learning how to allocate my efforts and energy to fit this belief. The connection to your body can become your most powerful relationship. We can intuit our body's "brain" deeper than our mental one. Creating awareness into what's really happening internally, inviting play and practicing the release of judgement, is one of the best paths I've ever taken. Waking up over three years ago with no control over my body's functions was a wake up call into something deeper; I sensed myself living in a deep disconnection to make life more convenient for those around me. Many artists I collaborate with are frightened to share the truth they see, because of the very real consequences it can have on their lives. I don't know what to do about this.....yet. I've asked multitudes of diverse humans what brings them hope and how they discern truth over the last few years. @robbiebent was the first (and only) person last year to return the question. Because no one had asked, I hadn't actually reflected on it. In the moment, what came to my mind was the practice of patience, and allowing time for what's around you to reveal itself. My answer now is spending time with the children my favorite humans are raising. Acting through love is my preferred navigation system. It's the only method I've found to move through feeling lost and darkness. It seems a lot of people do care about and value truth. It feels that many do not practice sitting with the inconveniences it brings, or discomforts when it doesn't serve them. If that feeling is inaccurate, I wonder if most people have experienced love as conditional. @alexandravolpe_ asked my fave place to adventure to, and the truth is, I find a lot of connection wherever I choose to be. However, there is a certain clarity to self when roaming through the mountains/nature. It's hard to believe life is full of coincidences, but I find joy in knowing I'll never really know. 🌻
