APRA AMCOS members are invited to join our exclusive Score Kissa event, a listening party of James Peter Brown’s soundtrack to the film Birthright
Birthright made its world premiere at Tribeca Festival in
NYC this year, just ahead of its release in the U.S. on 5th June. It subsequently featured at both SFF & MIFF in Australia and is nominated for Feature Film Score of the Year at the 2025 Screen Music Awards.
Inspired by Japan’s Jazz Kissa tradition, which in turn has informed the modern listening bar, Score Kissa is a showcase of screen composition with the use of audiophile sound.
Wed 29 October 6pm - 8pm AEST
Black Bear Lodge, Fortitude Valley
It was a wonderful night at the Screen music awards 2025 put on by @apraamcos - I was honoured to be a finalist in the feature film category and was incredible have my score orchestrated and conducted by Erkki Veltheim and played live by the Screen Music Award Orchestra. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners and especially Jed Kurzel for winning the feature film award!
