A few frames of the beautiful streets of Frome. Yesterday evening I loved walking aimlessly, pausing to compose a shot and taking a moment to consider some of the thoughts that have been rushing through my mind in recent days.
If you are anything like me then you’ll find it hard to prioritise yourself and grab those moments of solitude and space in the relentlessness of day to day life. However, it’s an important practice to adopt, especially when life is full on.
Embedded into my faith is this beautiful truth, that is so often overlooked, that we are made to take times simply to rest. To take sabbath. To walk slowly in Eden. To escape the crowds and head to the mountains to pray and be. To realise that we are loved and can love one another. I reckon that Jesus said it best when he said to his friends (who were hangry as they hadn’t even had the chance to eat) “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place to get some rest.”
So let me encourage you to the time to pause, friends. Especially if your mind, work life or home life is unsustainably busy. It might just be the time you need to recalibrate and get some much needed perspective❤️
