Apparently it’s not okay to hand out stage cigarettes at Christmas shows to children. I apologize for my misguided attempt at immersive theater and humbly ask for forgiveness.
You can say a lot of things about my annual Christmas show but you can’t say we don’t make it a night to remember. Night one is officially SOLD OUT! Night two is filling up. Spread the word to someone who would be into a vintage style holiday variety show and if you don’t leave the show grinning ear to ear and full of holiday cheer then the next package of stage ciggies are on the house 🚬
This is so vulnerable of me… but here it goes. A lot of folks who come to my performances don’t know that I got my start in the theater. Specifically the local community theater at age 9 where I won the coveted roll of a lifetime playing “German soldier #5” aka Karl Vafflemüncher in the beloved and timeless musical, The Sound of Muzak: A smooth jazz/waiting room music inspired take on the timeless Julie Andrews classic! (Absolutely KILLED it in the scene where I torture the Van Trapp family by making them listen to Kenny G in an elevator for 15 minutes straight!)
Gosh, we’ve come a long way fam! Made the perilous leap from being an actor at the Bus Barn to being a singer at the Bus Barn. Attempted by many, but only I could manage it! And not JUST because all my competition and contemporaries all died under mysterious and suspicious circumstances over the years. Mostly because I tied myself to the building with Christmas garlands singing Feliz Navidad until they gave me the keys to the venue!

I like to ask the staff at places I play what they want to hear if they’re going to be stuck with me for a couple hours… when she asked for “Hey Jude” I was like… oh yeah I know that one… but do I know it? No. Do I fake it til I make it? Yes. Have I made it? Not sure. Am I still faking it then? Does a bear sh!t in the woods?
Sadly, my quest for greatness has only brought more questions. Questions like: Is a hot dog a sandwich? In any case - if you ask me to do a cover and I don’t know it but have a general idea of the tune you can bet your booty I’m a try it.
