The construction industry faces significant challenges related to high rates of depression and suicide, with roofing being one of the most affected sectors. Recognizing the importance of mental health, James King Roofing has dedicated the past two years to supporting Ryther, a local non-profit behavioral health facility in the Seattle area. Ryther provides vital programming for children and families dealing with mental health concerns.
Rather than limiting our support to financial donations, we have made it our mission to actively engage the community by bringing volunteers to Ryther’s campus. Our goal is to raise awareness about mental health, highlight the impactful work being done at Ryther, and foster a sense of community among our colleagues, clients, and friends.
Thank you to the many volunteers who've helped us make an impact through physical labor, word or mouth, time, donations, raffles, etc. We are beyond proud of the community we're a part of, and the network of kind-hearted individuals that continue to help us gain momentum in our goal to make sure everyone has access to mental healthcare services.

ICE DAMS.
Typical snow events in the Puget Sound� result in heavy & wet snow due to freeze/thaw cycles. This causes the formation of ice dams. Ice accumulation at roof drains, overflow drains, through-wall scupper drains/overflows, and collector boxes can lead to water pooling on the roof (at 8.34lbs a gallon), compromising the structural integrity of your roof system. Proper drainage is critical to prevent damage!
